... there were fewer than 20 protesters remaining this AM at the Ambassador bridge. Most left the area as the police slow walked towards them saying if you did not leave you would be arrested. A few arrests were made.

The bridge is now clear and plans are being made to re-open it shortly.

... this anti vaccination energy, even though it is coming from a minority of people in Canada and the USA and now around the world is probably here to stay. We need to take it seriously even though a distinct minority of people are shouting 'Freedom". This word has become a catch all for everything else. Yelling freedom is not so much about the vaccine or the mandates, it is about the protesters perception of freedom which is to say I do not want to get vaccinated.

Close attention has to be paid to this because as Omicron hopefully eventually goes away, we have to be careful about how we malign these minority groups.

It was these kind of energies that resent authority that the ex President was able to tap into even though the same man wanted to rule the USA as an autocrat where he alone would fix any problem.

The Canadian Federal gov't and most provincial gov'ts are posed to relax many COVID restrictions in the next few days due to the success of the vaccination program.

Canada did not have a problem with its vaccination program before all this started, and now covid restrictions are being eased maybe those truck drivers achieved something.
