I was given the Moderna vaccine. I thought it was supposed to be 90% effective against contracting COVID. I've noticed some conflicting information so I wanted to clarify it:

The MRNA vaccines are not designed to prevent infection. So this virus will never be eradicated by them. They protect against severe illness.

I was given the Moderna vaccine. I thought it was supposed to be 90% effective against contracting COVID. I've noticed some conflicting information so I wanted to clarify it:

I believe the goal posts have been moved. I could have sworn I was told that if I got vaxxed there was only a very slim chance (less than 5%) that I would get infected.

I was also told that wearing a cloth mask was good protection. Then I was told by Fauci that I needed to wear 2 masks. Then I'm told that cloth masks are nothing but face decoration.

Some people call this incompetence. I'd like to think some moron in government had done a study on masks beforehand rather than waiting on a pandemic.
