... hogwash! Teachers want to go back to work and are at work now across the country. They are a valuable resource and have every right to expect a safe workplace.Comment

You have the expected elitist attitude. You expect the store clerk to stock the shelves but don't hold teachers to the same standards. Teachers should have had their ass back in the classroom long ago. Enough of the bullshit.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Re: Latest on the Corona Virus
He knows damn well it wasn't a natural virus .. he helped FUND the Wuhan lab where it was created!
Dr. Fauci admits he is not confident COVID 'developed naturally,' calls for investigation into China
Dr. Anthony Fauci is now calling for more investigation into China to uncover the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic, a dramatic reversal from his earlier position in which he dismissed theories that COVID-19 emerged from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
In a recent interview that received little attention, Fauci was asked by PolitiFact editor Katie Sanders whether he is "still confident that [COVID-19] developed naturally?"
Shockingly, Fauci said he doubts the natural emergence of COVID-19.
"No, actually," Fauci said. "No, I'm not convinced about that. I think that we should continue to investigate what went on in China until we find out to the best of our ability exactly what happened."
"Certainly, the people who've investigated it say it likely was the emergence from an animal reservoir that then infected individuals, but it could've been something else, and we need to find that out," he continued. "So, you know, that's the reason why I said I'm perfectly in favor of any investigation that looks into the origin of the virus."
Fauci's admission came while rebuking Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), whom Fauci accused of "conflating" collaborative research with Chinese scientists on SARS viruses with the emergence of COVID-19.
So why did it take this long for the liar to come forward with this? Complicity that's why!
Paul grilled Fauci during a Senate hearing earlier this month on the National Institutes of Health funding some research at the Wuhan virology lab.
The theory that COVID-19 escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, either accidentally or intentionally, has been dismissed by the media and many health experts as a conspiracy theory untethered from reality.
Fauci himself denounced the possibility in an interview with National Geographicconcluded in February after a rushed investigation that it was "extremely unlikely" COVID-19 came from the laboratory.
However, the possibility that COVID-19 escaped from the lab is receiving renewed attention after 18 high-profile scientists published a letter calling for more investigation into the possibility.
"Theories of accidental release from a lab and zoonotic spillover both remain viable," the scientists wrote.
In fact, they highlighted the fact that the WHO, in concluding the pandemic did not originate from the Wuhan lab, did not give the theory "balanced consideration," explaining, "Only 4 of the 313 pages of the report and its annexes addressed the possibility of a laboratory accident."
Meanwhile, Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee released a report last week revealing there is "significant circumstantial evidence" suggesting COVID-19 escaped from the Wuhan lab.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky agreed last week the lab leak theory remains a "possibility" of the pandemic's origin.

,,, wrong, both the store clerk and the teacher have the right to expect a safe work space. Employers are having difficulty hiring enough labour these days, so they are trying harder to keep their employees safe.Comment

Re: Latest on the Corona Virus
33,000,000 people in the USA have had some form of COVID and recovered from it. Some will never fully recover for the rest of their lives. Why take the chance and not get vaccinated?
Last July, when her immediate family tested positive for Covid-19, Breanna Aguilar did not fit into any groups considered at higher risk for severe disease.
She is 31 years old, a pet sitter and former fitness teacher who once ran a half marathon. She was, by most measures, healthy.
When Aguilar got Covid-19 she lost her sense of taste, had mild fevers and muscle weakness. She could barely keep anything down yet gained about 30 pounds. Later, she developed pelvic pain, cystic acne, breast tenderness, headaches, brain fog and extreme fatigue.
It has been months since then, but she says the low energy, chronic pain and brain fog -- long-haul Covid-19 symptoms -- remain and she can't even go for a 15-minute walk without needing a break.
She's also now dealing with insulin resistance and taking several medications to keep that and her hormone levels under some control. Her doctor told her she'll likely be dealing with this fallout of Covid-19 for the rest of her life.Comment

Here is an interesting fact, the AstraZeneca vaccine uses modified viral particles that otherwise cause the common cold in chimpanzee's.

"A lot of people like to talk about how the survival rate is so high and the death rate is so low once infected by COVID-19 but what they're not taking into account is the degree that lives are changing because of illnesses that are popping up from this, or just the long-haul symptoms that are so debilitating.".

You need to learn to do your own damn research. This is hardly a secret:
Many Americans Are Getting More Money From Unemployment Than They Were From Their Jobs
The United States is not known for its generosity to the unemployed. But the coronavirus crisis has transformed our system for compensating jobless workers. As tens of millions of workers suddenly became unemployed, Congress passed an expansive relief package with an unprecedented $600-per-week supplement for jobless workers. The goal was to replace their wages so they could survive the economic lockdown.
