Oh wait, the Constitution does not put restrictions on citizens, it put limits and restrictions on the government. When I was in the Army you were required by international treaty to be vaccinated against a number of communicable viruses prior to being deployed to a part of the world where those where those viruses were still present. Those included plague, small pox and yellow fever. There was also an experimental flu shot that was optional.

When I was in Vietnam we were also required to take an anti malarial pill. You had a choice of taking the small pill daily or if the pill gave you the shits, they allowed you to take a large pill once a week. You had to piss in a bottle at least once a month to test if you were taking the anti malarial.

In 2004 while getting ready to deploy to Iraq to Iraq there was an experimental drug that was supposed to protect against a specific biological warfare agent that we were initially suppose to take 3 shots of over a 2 month time frame. That was ruled against by the courts after the first shot.

Let me add a few facts to the lies I see.

1. The mandate that was originally supposed to go into affect months ago has been pushed back by the Courts System pending final decision by SCOTUS.
2. At the current time the compliance date for the US Army active duty is not until the 15th of this month
3. Army Reserves and National Guard compliance is not until June 30, 2022.
4. The compliance date for other US Military components has gone past but again all action is suspended due to legal action being taken as a result of the inequity between the different compliance dates between all the components.

Non compliance can be considered a violation of Article 92 UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice). Action will be at the discretion of individual unit commanders. Most likely for most soldiers it will be either no action, administrative action or nonjudicial punishment. A commander does not want to lose a good soldier to an order or regulation that may ultimate be found either illegal or in violation of the Constitution. One of the rulings that came out of the Courts Marshal of L,Willian Calley following the My Lai massacre was that a soldier has both a moral and legal responsibility to refuse to obey an illegal order.

Administrative Action

Extra duty
Confinement to quarters during non-duty hours
Denial of favorable action such as training and promotion opportunities
Duration of such action is limited based on the unit level (company/battery/detachment), field level (Battalion/Brigade/Group) Command Level (any unit authorized and commanded by a general grade officer).

Nonjudicial Punishment (Article 15 UCMJ)

Same as Administrative Action plus
Confiscation of pay
Reduction in pay grade

In the chart below Summarized refers to Administrative Action

At General Grade rank reduction for E6 or below is 1 or more grades. (I knew a soldier who when he was in Germany was an E6 and got in bed with a private's wife. The post Commander, 3 star, reduced him down to a private E1.)
A general can reduce an E7 or above 1 pay grade.

I know a person who works for the Canadian Federal gov't. She claims to be immunocompromised and was resisting getting COVID vaccinated.

On Oct 22 2021 she was given only one of two choices. Get vaccinated or be placed on indefinite, unpaid home leave. She quickly got vaccinated, had no issues and now says she wonders where her head was at all of this time to have taken such an unnecessary risk with her health.
