The state reported 133 deaths in the past week, down from the 155 deaths reported the week before.

Florida has recorded a total of 5.9 million infections and 73,822 deaths as the COVID-19 pandemic stretches into two years and two months.

The true number of infections in recent weeks is likely much higher because of two important factors. At-home tests are now widely available but those results are not reported to state health officials, so they don’t get counted when tabulating caseloads.

That means that Florida’s case count only includes positive test results from clinical settings like state-run testing sites, healthcare facilities and pharmacies. But in the past two weeks, Florida reported the fewest clinical test results since June 2020.

Some Floridians may be unable to access testing due to limited public testing facilities, which could also result in an undercounting of cases.

I hope that all these pandemic restrictions will disappear as quickly as they appeared! Two and a half years of covid-related news that is too much I believe.

... there are already new sub variants of COVID appearing. COVID will be with us for many years into the future and is now raging almost of control in several major cities in China.

COVID continues to create major disruptions in global logistics that effects many industries including the copier industry that are not likely to resolve this year.

I hope that all these pandemic restrictions will disappear as quickly as they appeared! Two and a half years of covid-related news that is too much I believe.

Over here, a Polish colleague came back from a holiday and there was no covid testing at either airport and no electronic or otherwise proof of vaccination status.

In Toronto, Canada, the largest city in Canada, many employees are still working from home as COVID continues to infect even vaccinated people although with milder effects. At least two people in my office are off due to COVID. One had mild conditions and one felt like he was hit by a truck.

To think that COVID is going away anytime soon is just wishful thinking.

A number of unusual cases of severe hepatitis in young children are being investigated, the cause or causes of which are currently unknown. The cases, first identified in Great Britain, have now also been found in the US (Alabama), Ireland and Spain.


In the US, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are collaborating with the Alabama Department of Public Health to investigate nine cases of hepatitis in children - aged 1 to 6 - who have also tested positive for adenovirus since October 2021.

Adenoviruses generally affect the respiratory tract, causing cold-like illnesses. But they have also been linked to inflammation and infection of the bladder and, occasionally, to hepatitis, although rarely in children who are not immunocompromised. As with the British cases, investigations have so far found no links between the children for those uncovered in Alabama.

This is the covid endgame a global digital id. A single universal app for everybody if you want to travel a lot, the sort of data this app might collect would have governments queuing naked outside for.
