Natural Red wine/grappa has some good digestive enzyes. Beneficial if you eat a lot of red meat...

I'm into natural fermentation of vegies to find good digestive enzymes. No, not alcohol fermentation...

Mmmm pickled Korean cabbage. Fermented for weeks.
Years ago I made a batch... the stupid bitch I was married to, saw the kid wasn't tight on the clay jar I make it in, so she tightened it all the way down.. 2 weeks later it exploded from the trapped gases.
"Well I didn't know!" Even tho I told the dumb cunt "DO NOT TOUCH THIS JAR" (she complained the whole time cleaning it up!) [emoji16]

I was responding to the comment slim made. But if you want the recipe I'll be glad to send it over.
With the cabbage fermented you could distill the vapors to alcohol. js

Yep, you can make alcohol from almost everything...and then will need some good food to compliment it

Never seen it done not using gas. My Portuguese friends showed me how to use a cake flower and water mix to seal of leaks. Basically poster glue.
Using an oil barrel filled with water fitted with a 1/4 inch copper coil makes light work of condensing.

In South-Africa we call moonshine mampoer, made from almost any fruit.
Litchi is my favorite by far. 7 tots will shut you down.
If done proper and slow you will wake up with a smile the next day.

Remember the first time i got a bit drunk. Was about 11 years old guess. My dad showed me the basics of making the stuff from Eriobotrya japonica.
Used a gas burner an old copper geyser a motor bike radiator cooled with an electric fan and temp sender and dial from some old car parts lying around .

Biggest headache was from making carrot beer. Must have been to methanol rich. Stuff was potent.
                  Whatever

Well please understand these stills are in the mountain areas... near fresh cool water supply to keep the thumpers (where the coils reside) cool for better condensation. The reason they call them thumpers.. when active that barrel thumps outloud. It's hard to tote gas tanks through the forest..so they use wood. Plentiful and no cost.

Same here as Phil told, firewood will produce some smoke so we can use torch fueled by bottles of LPG.

Can always go all out and make wood gas.
Probably takes lots of experience running on coal.

Fire and gas driven distilling is an accident waiting to happen.
The thumper Still is causing a small explosion inside the still as it thumps from over heating the wash. It happens inside the wash water not the air, so no huge explosion happens. If the wash water goes low all bets are off.

It really is simple to make a safer still.
Go and spent a whopping $38 at K-Mart and buy an office size 10ltr stainless electric hot water urn.
Drill a centre hole in the top of the urn lid. Place a plastic or copper pipe fitting into the hole.
Run a coil of copper or plastic hose from the fitting. Run the hose coil vertical up through some ice cubes.
Lean the output end of hose coil downward into a bottle to collect the alcohol.

Was thinking of getting a counter top water distiller driven by a variac bringing to line voltage down just a bit to make it more suitable for the task.
How is the legality of this down under? Here if you don't sell it you can make it.
