    re: The 80s

When we had DirecTV, one of the music channels played the 1980's hair bands exclusively. I'd turn it on and work through out the house, kick in the door of my kids' rooms and play air guitar for them. I loved growing up in the 80s, and the music. Life is definitely a circle though. I had long hair, my dad was balding and always nagged me about my long hair. Now, I am balding and my son has long hair. I nag him, he replies with a sarcastic remark, and makes MY dad laugh. I still have hundreds of 80s cassettes, but I did rid of my 8 tracks when I sold my Z. No more 8 track players.

Not sure if someone's put Depeche Mode up yet.....but I'll go ahead and do it anyway.

                    Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus - 1989

That reminds me....there are a couple good covers of this song......may not be the 80's, but the song they covered is.

                    Marilyn Manson - 2004

                    The Legend.....Johnny Cash - 2002

We can put them all day long as far as they are at the top of my personal favorites 👍
A tree is known by its fruit, a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost, he who sows courtesy, reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.

I was not much of a Megadeath fan, I liked some of their songs but I went the road of Slayer instead. I always asked people, " Black Sabbath or Iron Maiden" seems most of the time you were either a fan of one and not the other. I was introduced to Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath around the same time for each. But, there was something about Black Sabbath that just grabbed a hold of me, maybe they were more garage sounding, raw and in your face. Just a talented line up all around. Even in the Ronnie James Dio phase they rocked, but Ozzy as the front man is my favorite.

This thread is getting long so if I am redundant, I do not mean to be.
