What copier is this in The Matrix?

Are you like me and see copiers and desktop printers in movies and tv shows?

I see an old xerox 5028 in NCIS and several old HP Laserjet 4050s on desktops too.


What is this copier here in the Matrix? btw isnt this guy taking a skyshot?

Looks like an old Canon? My wife hates it every time we watch something and I see a copier or printer, I have to stop, rewind and look at it. I see it, I look over at her, she rolls her eyes and says, "Uhhh..must be another copier or printer."

hows about looking at menus at a restaurant or documents at the doctors office and seeing all the lines and repeating spots on the page!

Haha.... You got me!

I figured it was a canon or xerox... Total guess....
First glimpse the ADF looks like an old belt feed Toshiba.

For those interested, jump to the 2:18 mark in the above video.
Select settings 1080dpi and 0.25 slow motion play back.
You can see the copier front cover, I can't make out the machine model as the label is removed.

First impression was a Canon.
I thought I got at glimpse of a Canon label that wasn't edited out of the movie.
I couldn't capture the same single video frame again...

I think it's too large a finisher for the GP200.

The NP6030 was the same frame (I think) as the GP55, which was later replaced by the GP30.

I gave a film to some old timer at work sometime back and said I wont spoil it for you but there's a Toshiba Estudio 3500 halfway through the film.

The control panel on the NP 6030 doesn't bump out like that, its flush all the way across the front.

It looks like a NP 6050. Those had the control panel that bumped out a little. Also, on the finisher there is a small access panel that allowed for manual stapling or moving the bins up/down. If I remember correctly, that panel was not available on the bigger finisher for the NP 6030.
