    Copiers and Appliance technicians

Of all the "on-site" skilled trades I feel like we're the only SOBs who cannot finish our jobs when we need parts. Plumbers, electricians, HVAC they got all the shit they need the van, if not, they can run to any hardware store.

And they will never know the pain of walking up to a working machine and leaving with it dead in the water.

"So sorry ma'am, I know you called for your faucet to be replaced but I am afraid you're gunna be without any water for a day or two".

That is the worst feeling in the world having to explain that it really wasn't me that broke that part, I just happened to be standing here when it kicked it's last kick. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Does anybody remember the Mita 191r?

One time the main switch went out when I was doing a service call on one. It flashed and went 'POW' when I turned the machine on, then made a bad smell.

      No, I didn't have one.
