I find this statement to be extremely radical. I've learned that Canada has some radicals (much like our own country) but these types of statements have come from the highest level of government in the past. That concerns me and makes me wonder how they got to this point.
Canada's minister for women and gender equality referred to the Taliban as "our brothers" during a virtual news conference Wednesday morning.
"I want to take this opportunity to speak to our brothers, the Taliban," Maryam Monsef said. "We call on you to ensure the safe and secure passage of any individual in Afghanistan out of the country."Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

"We call on you to immediately stop the violence, the genocide, the femicide, the destruction of infrastructure, including heritage buildings," she continued. "We call on you to immediately return to the peacekeeping table, to the peace deal that was negotiated, and to ensure that women and minority voices are a part of that discussion in a meaningful way."
Monsef, a member of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party, was frequently touted as Canada's first Afghan-born member of Parliament until she conceded she was actually born in Iran, CTV News reported in 2016.
Monsef's comments come as U.S.-allied countries grapple with trying to get evacuees out of Afghanistan following President Biden's troop withdrawal that led to the Taliban's rapid takeover of the country.
A video of her comments tweeted Wednesday by Canadian political strategist Warren Kinsella and shared by Rebel News founder Ezra Levant quickly racked up thousands of views.

President Biden is deeply concerned that the Al_Queda will try and launch a terror attack against the evacuation.
The longer the US stays the longer Al_Queda has time to organize a terror attack.

Canada has military assets in the region staging out of Kuwait including aircraft to assist any USA/NATO request.

A federal judge ordered sanctions Wednesday for Sidney Powell, Lin Wood and several other lawyers who worked on Trump-aligned lawsuits seeking to challenge the results of the 2020 election.
US District Judge Linda Parker, of the Eastern District of Michigan, said the lawyers had "engaged in litigation practices" that were "abusive and, in turn, sanctionable."
"Sanctions are required to deter the filing of future frivolous lawsuits designed primarily to spread the narrative that our election processes are rigged and our democratic institutions cannot be trusted," the judge wrote in a 110-page opinion.
Parker is ordering the lawyers to reimburse the attorneys' fees that the city of Detroit and Michigan state officials paid in seeking the sanctions. The lawyers must also take legal education classes, the judge said, and she is referring her decision to the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission, and "the appropriate disciplinary authority for the jurisdiction(s) where each attorney is admitted," for potential disciplinary action.
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, a Democrat, praised the judge's ruling on Wednesday, saying in a statement that it "sends a clear message: those who seek to overturn an American election and poison the well of American democracy will face consequences."
The lawsuit filed in Parker's court last November by Powell, Wood and others was one of dozens of suits brought last year as part of an early, major attempt by then-President Donald Trump to claim that the presidential election results in November were illegitimate. His team and supporters lost all of their attempts in court to gain traction on voter fraud.
Last month, Parker grilled the attorneys over their election fraud claims during a six-hour hearing in which her line-by-line questioning yielded a painstaking recounting of the thinness of those claims.
The city of Detroit -- whose lawyer had argued that the Trump lawsuit was solely meant to spread lies about the election -- as well as the state of Michigan had asked the federal court to sanction the lawyers who had brought the case.
The punishments handed down on Wednesday are not the first for a pro-Trump attorney who brought election-related lawsuits. Earlier this summer, Washington, DC, and New York state temporarily suspended Rudy Giuliani's law license for pushing election lies.

Blast reported outside Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul
(CNN) - An explosion was reported outside the Hamid Karzai International Airport on Thursday, according to two US officials.One official said there are injuries among Afghans, but there is no information yet on any US casualties.
Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby confirmed there was an explosion outside of the airport. "We can confirm an explosion outside Kabul airport. Casualties are unclear at this time. We will provide additional details when we can," he said in a tweet.

ISIS members were set free from the prisons. Stockpiles of American bombs and weapons are everywhere for the taking. Much like Exxon cleaning up a massive oil spill, the attempted clean up doesn't let Biden off the hook.
