The Internal Revenue Service is distributing a second batch of stimulus payments with direct deposits expected to hit bank accounts as late as Wednesday. More than 90 million stimulus payments were sent last week in the first batch.
"Today marks the second batch of payments, with additional payments anticipated on a weekly basis going forward," the Treasury Department said in a press release on Monday. "The vast majority of taxpayers receiving EIPs will receive it by direct deposit."Comment

Re: The Shining City Upon a Hill
The holding cages that were constructed during the Obama administration were never intended for children. The Trump presidency callously repurposed these cages for children. The stated intent was to send images back to South America to intimidate migrants not to come to the USA regardless of the human rights abuse.
NOT all children went to the cages.. those kids that could PROVE the adults they were traveling with were ACTUAL parents/relatives went with the family.
the ones that were being accompanied by NON RELATIVES were cages... mainly because of the abuse they received during the trip. NOT ALL children were that lucky... many died on the 'rape trees' along the way. Child sex trafficking is one of the things that the Trump Admin pushed to end.Comment

Re: The Shining City Upon a Hill
That means undocumented immigrants and immigrants who file their taxes with an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) are not eligible for a payment.
There is one specific difference with this stimulus package compared to the CARES Act, however. Last spring, families with mixed immigration status, where one family member filed tax returns with an ITIN, disqualified the entire family from receiving stimulus funds. Nearly 5.1 million U.S. citizens or permanent resident immigrants in the spring were affected by the provision, according to The Guardian. The most recent stimulus package now includes those families.Comment
