For as long as I have followed politics, and that is longer than you have probably been alive, Democrats have always made campaign promises to fix certain issues. They never have, they never will. to fix them would mean that they would no longer have them to use as campaign issues in the future.

A redacted version of the affidavit used to obtain a search warrant for former President Donald Trump's Florida home will be unsealed Friday, a federal magistrate judge ordered.
The order Thursday came hours after the Department of Justice submitted a sealed proposal to the judge detailing how it wanted portions of that affidavit kept secret if the document were to be made public.
FBI agents, carrying the warrant issued on the basis of the affidavit, on Aug. 8 raided Trump's residence at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach and seized a dozen or so boxes of documents.
The DOJ is conducting a criminal investigation of the removal of presidential records from the White House when Trump left office in January 2021.

It's certainly a lot less than the $2T bailout trumpy gave to billion dollar corporations for them to increase corporate bonuses and buy back stock. So, you should consider it a win if you are truly a fiscal conservative Slimeslob.

The question is why is it overpriced? It's very similar to the 08 housing crisis. Easy money flowed to anyone who wanted to go to college in the form of Federal loans. New bogus degrees were created to accommodate those who couldn't be accepted into actual money making degree programs. The students graduated without jobs or low paying ones and were never able to pay back the loans. The universities raised tuition based on the influx of new money coming in knowing full well that these bogus degrees had no money making potential. I can maybe agree with the government turning these into interest free loans to make them easier to pay back, but I don't think they should be forgiven. You have to learn from your mistakes - something I guess they don't teach in college.

... Federal gov't funded student loans were not forgiven. The average debt relief will be $10k. Students often have greater loans than that amount.

                      Hahaha
The republicans never learn that giving billion dollar corporations bailouts and tax breaks never lead to the results they claim. All they lead to are bonuses for executives and stock buy backs.

Giving a break to people who actually need it is never a bad thing.

A tax break is far different then just saying dont pay a loan you willingly signed for and got something in return . Millions of people took loans out before them and PAID there loan off . A much more fair option would have been to lower interest rates . This is a payoff and another unconstitutional move that Biden has done and will be challenged in court and overturned . Using the Hero act to justify this is disgraceful .

... nothing that President Biden and his chief advisor Ron Klain does is by accident. Their style is no to shoot from the hip when they make a major announcement like this.

You can be sure that a lot of thought was put into this announcement and preparations were made for any counterattacks by the usually "do nothing but criticize" Republicans.

What exactly does the constitution have to do with it. Is it stated in your constitution that student can't get help with loans?
Why are you so against helping people? If I was a student with big loans like that I would be very grateful for any help. I'm sure you would as well.

A tax break for the wealthy is a kick in the face to the working class people. Why are republicans so damn concerned with the financial stability of billionaires? I wish someone could explain it to me. It certainly isn't because they actually believe it will "trickle down". That has been tried many times with failure every time.
