... Big corporations love recurring revenue. It takes big $ and a large corporate depth of skill and talent to build an offshore wind farm. This market is closed to smaller players. The returns and profits will be for generations!

A lot of people with high skill sets will be employed and well paid.

Offshore wind farms will be a big part of the USA's clean Energy future for decades to come.

The US gov't only has to auction a permit to a tract of coastal water and corporations will pay to construct and maintain the offshore wind farm in return for very long term $ returns.

the average US citizen can't AFFORD to buy one.... and the charging stations aren't all over the country... fossil fuels will be around for a long time to come.

and that is pissing off @AOC!
Not to mention, those charging stations I have seen major junctions on California freeways where you can charge you Tesla while enjoying fine dining have a huge diesel generators powering them. So much for cutting down on fossil fuels.

the closest charging station I know of is @ Campbell College about 30 miles away.... next on is in Spring Lake 45 miles away... downtown Raleigh has about 5-6 but they are all in a 10 block radius around the Capital/Legislative/Sci Museum and most of the law offices.

And when I pass them they are all empty.

I see new charging stations all of the time and often in unexpected places. A few years from now they will be as common as gas stations.

In a very fews years people who lease new cars will almost exclusively be seeking out an electric car. To choose electric or gas powered is in the minds of every new car buyer now.
