This new Federal law requiring all ghost gun kits to be serialized does not threaten anyone's second Amendment rights.

President Biden has also authorized funding for the CDC to begin compiling statistics on gun violence in America.

.. the ex President blocked all funding to the CDC to study gun violence in the USA. This is why the last data from 2016 is so dated.

Serializing key components used to assemble guns makes them much easier to trace. This is a public safety issue and has nothing to do with 2nd Amendment rights or skill in assembly.

Serializing key components will help to reduce ghost guns being used for violent crime.

The were not nearly as many gun kits choices available to buyers twelve years ago as is today. Gun violence has massively increased in the USA since then and mass shootings are almost a daily occurrence.

This new law comes into effect in 112 days.

... no surprise in Georgia where Governor Kemp will do anything to stay in power.

This ruling actually hurts ex Senator Purdue who is running to replace Kemp more than Stacey Adams. She is the uncontested democratic nominee for the Governor's office.

The ruling is hardly a stunning defeat for Abrams who has already accumulated sizable cash reserves to defeat Kemp.

For one- Ghost guns cost more to make than the real gun. Most 80% pistols are based on glocks. After you buy and machine the 80% part od the pistol you then have to buy all the rest of the parts to put the gun together with. It adds up to more than just buying the Glock pistol. It is cheaper and easier for a gangbanger to get a pistol and grind off the serial number than to make their own gun. These are not being used in lots of shootings. There were last year over 20000 so called ghost guns recovered buy law enforcement. They dont tell you they were recovered from the companies they raided and confiscated their stock.Also hardly any gun crimes get solved by the serial numbers anyway.
