... a leading cause of fatalities caused by gun violence is the unrelenting marketing campaigns of gun manufacturers to sell ever more product to teenagers the moment they turn 18 as stated by the lawyer who successfully sue-ed Remington Firearms for $73M after the Sandy Hook massacre.

He had access to their marketing documents which targeted teenagers.

Where are these advertisments at? I am into shooting sports and I dont see any advertising unless I buy a gun magazine. The only ads I see with young people are them going hunting with their Dads ect. I have never seen a ad myself where a company is trying to sell a Ar-15 type weapon to a young kid. I have not seen any ads trying to sell to teenagers. I have stacks of magazines, watch sportsman shows on tv and I never saw that.

.... quoting the lawyer who won a $73M lawsuit against Remington and rec'd their internal marketing materials aimed at teenagers.

Teenagers are groomed though out their young lives to be accepting of glamorized firearms ads suggesting the power and performance of these deadly weapons. As soon as they turn 18, they want to buy one.

Probably the same thing happened to you.

Personally I think it is the video games,I am not into them but all the popular ones are all about killing and the graphics are so real now a days. Thats all you see on tv also. In my case I didnt get into the sport, hobby until I was in my middle thirties.

Re: The Shining City Upon a Hill

... it is becoming increasingly clear now that the press briefing staged by Texas Governor Abbot about the Ulvade mass murder and interrupted by Beto O'Rourke stated repeated lies about what happened.

The Governor was trying to whitewash inconvenient facts about what happened and the incompetency of the police Dept located a three minute drive away.

It now appears a fiction that there was a police officer was onsite to repel the 18 year old mass murder. The gunman simply walked unimpeded into the school through a side door, locked a reinforced class room door and killed 21 people in four classrooms with seven high capacity 30 round ammo clips holding 210 bullets formerly only reserved for law enforcement and military personnel.

While the police initially tried to assault the gunman they were repelled by his superior firepower.

It took an hour for the police to simply get the key to the door from the principals office to get into the classroom. It is still not known why the police did not try to engage the gunman through ground level windows.

It is now known that when the police called out to the children hiding in one of the classrooms if they needed help, a young girl responded back. The gunman heard the girls cry and shot her dead.

This mass murder occurred one day before the start of school summer holidays.
