Bidens Eviction moratoriums , covid mandates and immigration deportation policy all ruled UNCONSTITUTIONAL . Thats not a good track record for making policy. They will not admit to a cost or give a decent explanation how to pay for it . They know it will be overturned and then blame the mean old conservative supreme court and blame them .

Why are you so against helping people? If I was a student with big loans like that I would be very grateful for any help. I'm sure you would as well.

A tax break for the wealthy is a kick in the face to the working class people. Why are republicans so damn concerned with the financial stability of billionaires? I wish someone could explain it to me. It certainly isn't because they actually believe it will "trickle down". That has been tried many times with failure every time.
Aren't loans considered "helping" people? I mean they're giving someone the ability to pay for something they can't afford right away. I guess if we just never loaned them the money in the first place they would've been better off?

If as many people think that the US Government is going to payoff loans made to students by banks and other financial institutions, that becomes an expenditure which as specified in Article I Section 8 of the US Constitution require approval from the Congress. Under both House and Senate rules, that requires passage of a spending bill to add the expenditure to the current budget or continuing resolution. It then requires an appropriations bill to authorize the release of said moneys from the general fund and the transfer to the designated payee. Of course you probably don't give a shit about those students as most of them are from "rich" famities who easily could qualify for bank loans.

As for those who had loans under the NDSL, National Direct Student Loan, Program there will be no payments made to financial institutes. The loans were made directly from the US Government. It will merely eliminate the payments that those students which will result in a loss of revenue to the US Government that will need to be made up for by additional tax revenue, ergo more taxes. Again by Article I Section 8 all taxes must be passed by Congress.

Why is it that when it is billionaires being helped out you are all in, but when it comes to people who actually need the help you come up with a thousand reasons why it's bad?
Can you explain that to us? I know I'm interested to hear your reasoning.

Maybe we should just let wealthy kids go to college or university. Would that make you happier?
Why is government only allowed to "help" people who are already wealthy and not allowed to "help" people who are not already wealthy?
