Let's try this.
If you had $50000 in credit card debt, and someone offered you $10000 towards paying that debt down, would you accept it?
The problem is this "someone" is the American taxpayer and they will be the ones eventually footing the bill. Debt doesn't just go away. If an individual offered to help someone financially that's fine, but this is being forced on all tax payers. What lesson are these kids learning by having their debt forgiven? Unless the government is doing it, it won't happen again in the real world.
No, I would not accept a handout. Not from you. Not from a stranger. Not from my family. And not from the government.
If I can't earn it, then I don't need it.
Fortunately for me, I can afford what I need.
You certainly aren't a true republican then. Look at all the handouts your politicians take from lobbyists, they also didn't turn down the PPP loan forgiveness, now did they?

And who do you think paid for the PPP loan forgiveness that your favourite republican politicians were all to happy to take? You got it, taxpayers. They sure weren't whining about that
Republicans don't even try to hide that they don't actually care about poor people anymore.
Biden and the rest of the Democrats don't care about the poor working class who are the ones who will actually be paying the taxes needed to cover the cost of the student loan forgiveness.

I never claimed to be a true republican. What I am true to, though, is defeating liberalism. The only handouts that you need to be concerned about are the ones that you're taking. Learn to stand on your own 2 feet or do without.
Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.
