PPP loans or to use the full name Paycheck Protection Program were for small business owners, not politicians. They were from the Small Business Association. Forgiveness are available only for loans amounts used for eligible expenditures.

You don't even have a job, son. I don't listen to people who don't work unless they're retired.

Key word there is "loan". They weren't forced to take the loan, and they sure didn't turn down the forgiveness of the entire loan paid for by taxpayers.

There would've been no loan needed had the government not shut down the economy. If you force my business to close, then damn right I'm going to take what would've been mine in the first place. Every dollar the government has is a loan from the tax payers, not the other way around.

So, the government's job is to help people?

Not really. It's their job to protect our rights and defend our country and its borders. They would be more helpful if they limited their role and allowed us to keep more of what we produce. Helping others is great and there are plenty of organizations out there that do just that with no ties to the government. People helping people wouldn't go away if the government did.

But it is not a Federal Government loan or a Federally insured loan. It is a loan from through the Small Business Association. The taxpayers do not have to foot the bill. SBA members cover it through their membership dues and their participation in other loan programs provided by the affiliated finance companies.
