You live in a make believe world. Putin didn't invade any country under Trump.

    -Putin invaded Crimea under Obama.
    -Putin invaded Ukraine under Biden
_Putin invaded no one under Trump.

Let's get back to reality instead of your make believe world.

Says you dude. What a hypocrite. You'll flat out ignore what i say often. Or if i make a point you fold and start laughing a spelling mistake. I might share some opinions with the right but i'm not some brainwashed polarized person spouting whatever the party has me say like you. Like dude you have clear mental blocks that stop you from registering facts. Don't take that too personally though cause i know the right does the same thing. My view is that although the states would be the best country to do it they shouldn't be the global peace keepers. Especially when in reality its for nothing more then making money on arms deals and oil. Let the countries do their own thing. If that means Ukraine disappears then whatever. If that means the middle east will be in turmoil idc. USA can barely stop gangs of teens from looting their own stores in mass so why should we care about anything overseas. There are thousands of years of human history with people fighting over land, money or over nothing at all. Hundreds of cultures are dead and buried and there is no reason to think anything we see now will exist in a couple hundred years.

I think you would be singing a different tune if you lived in Ukraine. Empathy is caring about what happens to someone other than oneself. It bothers me that some egomaniac despot wakes up some morning and decides he wants more land. It would bother me more if countries capable of helping stood by and did nothing. Yes, the US has done the lion's share of contributing to the fight, something they should be commended for. However, others have helped as well. Especially the EU.

It's not that i lack empathy. I feel bad for the innocents but i have no worship for some earthly kingdom. Another way too look at the issue is that America needs to focus on itself for a while or else it won't be around at all to police the world in the future. We should understand the reality of the human condition and human nature but we shouldn't think that a government will cure it. also wtf does constantly worrying about gobal matters even accomplish?

Only because we also live on this globe. In your mind when should one start to care? When Putin, or some other egomaniac despot, is knocking on your door? It's a little too late by then.

You have empathy for Ukraine yet you're content with the USA carrying the load financially. Still no thank you. What a hypocrite.

I looked it up. There was a picture of you.

You want help for Ukraine. The USA gives it and you can't muster up a single Thank You. Maybe you're correct. Maybe you aren't a hypocrite. Maybe you're just slime ball. Why can't you thank the USA?

You hate the USA so much that you can't thank us for anything and acknowledge Canada's failure to carry it's fair load. You have zero "empathy" for the USA.

There you go assuming that because you hate Canada I must hate the US. Go back and re-read the post. Then get back to me. Read it all now, don't just skim it.

Since the war began, the Biden administration and the U.S. Congress have directed more than $75 billion in assistance to Ukraine, which includes humanitarian, financial, and military support, according to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, a German research institute. (This figure does not include all war-related U.S. spending, such as aid to allies.) The historic sums are helping a broad set of Ukrainian people and institutions, including refugees, law enforcement, and independent radio broadcasters, though most of the aid has been military-related.

Since February 2022, Canada has committed over $2.4 billion in military assistance donations to Ukraine.

We continue to actively look at what more we can do to support Ukraine. Minister Blair remains in close contact with Ukrainian officials through the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, and on a bilateral basis.

We deeply admire the bravery and courage of Ukrainians who are fighting to defend their independence and freedom, and we will continue to work closely with our Allies and partners to help Ukraine defend its sovereignty and security.

I don't care about the rulers honestly only the civilians in the crossfire. Every inch of land on this planet has been "stolen" from someone else many a time. It's gonna keep on happening and I really doubt the effectiveness of US intervention into every single matter. If some country wants to take over the world then fine. Putin just wants to restore the USSR. He is much less dangerous then lets say then China. And then you have the matter of a large portion of Ukraine would rather be part of Russia anyway. Throwing money at the thing will only make the meatgrinder run longer. And before you continue this then yeah i wouldn't change my view if it was in my own country. What i'm trying to say is caring doesn't help unless it's a peace treaty.
