Anyone remember the high speed e stats that SCM made for a while. They were built on the same floor standing frame as the Model 55 Electrostatic Copier and used high intensity Xenon strobes for exposure. The paper never stopped. When it hit the registration switch the strobes fired. The output of the strobe power pack was enough voltage and current to be lethal. I had to replace one once. The new power pack came with a booklet of instructions on exactly how to remove the old unit and the needed shorting plugs to attach before removing.

KenB has corrected my fuzzy memory!

The machine pig I was referring to as the Canon PPC-1, was the sweet SAXON PPC-1.

I worked at a silicon disk inspection camera manufacture as a production/inventory goon at COBILT.

Same inspection type of equipment.

We called the place CO-BITE. Silicon Valley about 1974 to 1976 time frame.

Minolta chart gives me a Sad Memory of a Life Poorly Lived.

Both financial, and physical.

Never ever left a chart behind, because the customer would copy it and bitch about the quality if it was not EXACTLY the same.

Worked for an independent outfit in Silicon Valley. The Owner asked me, the Service Manager, "why are we buying Test Charts, when

we could just run off some copies of them?"

Think about that for a minute.

Really old school. We used such copy machines to make copies of our homework. When we couldn't get our assignments done in time. Most of the time they were essays. It took me a long time to be able to do that assignment competently. Until I found writinguniverse.com/free-essay-examples/god/ and thanks to the samples I understood how to write a paper competently. And that's how I was able to improve my grades.
