That's funny that you posted this. I almost mentioned it but didn't want to geek out too much. I only know about this because of what I've read or watched on video as I live in a state with 100% humidity.

It has a manual drain which I leave plugged and a upper tube drain which I run into a pail. I clean the airfilters on a regular basis. I noticed water around the floor today and after cleaning that took out the drain tube and poked a bit and cleaned that area. I seem to be getting a steady drip from the line, but alas, shortly after...

I then took the unit into the washroom and drained it manually in the tub but I was expecting more water.

I've checked out some stuff and advice from Google, and I have poured through the user guide endlessly, which would be more aptly named useless guide.

I read that the unit has to be level or the drain float may not activate properly, these are condo hardwood floor, not a old farm house and the unit was flawless for two to three months so I feel I can rule that out.

Hoping someone has some experience and advice, dreading the thought of not having it on tonight while I am trying to sleep. I would just worry about floor damage happening while asleep.

Drain lines can have many problems ie algae or dust and if clogged will overflow the drain pan getting water on the floor.
Blowout or suckout the drain line.

I grew up with with them. The first place that had refrigeration was the public library. Humidity averaged about 15% to 20%.

Thanks to all who posted. It has been steadily dripping water through the drain since I moved it and drained it. It didn't drip so steadily before and would sometimes gurgle. I shouldn't have to drain it under normal operation when using the top drain tube. I'm guessing there was a clog issue. It never drained this steady since I got a couple months ago. Works MUCH better now as well. It would give off heat at the back before, you didn't want to sit beside it. Now there is no heat, just the cool air.

It must had a small clog right from the get go... while looking up the topic I did find a few people who had some major leak issues out of the box, various brands.

At least now I know what to keep a eye on if this becomes a issue again.

Just as a comparison, it has been so humid around here my Dad's dehumidifier has been pulling 2.25 gallons of water from the air just in one night. That's a lot.

I had something similar. A year ago, I bought a new air conditioner. Three months later, its work was disrupted. I thought it was buggy and decided not to turn it on for the week. A week later, I decided to turn on the air conditioner, but it didn't respond to the remote, to my surprise. I told my brother about this, and he advised me to return to air conditioning installation engineers. He just liked the work of these employees. I decided to take my brother's advice, and I am happy with the result. From all this history, I concluded that the repair is better not to delay. You need to solve the problem until it just appears immediately.
