Within months possibly weeks or even days they would have nothing. At one time there were Israeli settlements in nearly half of the Gaza Strip. As an appeasement to the Palestinians Israel abandoned those settlements and left them for the Palestinian people to make use of. Instead the Palestinians destroyed everything.
