Question for anyone with a job

Is it cruel and disrespectful for employees to justify their job duties to the owner/boss?

I say no because I've always had to do it. Especially in the copier biz.

    Let me tie this together.

"As part of the Trump Administration's commitment to an efficient and accountable federal workforce, OPM is asking employees to provide a brief summary of what they did last week by the end of Monday, CC'ing their manager," the official said. "Agencies will determine any next steps."

"It is cruel and disrespectful for federal employees to be forced to justify their job duties to this out-of-touch, privileged, unelected billionaire who has never performed one single hour of honest public service in his life," the AFGE wrote.

Tech billionaire Elon Musk said Saturday that all federal employees are expected to fill out a mandatory productivity report form and will be considered resigned if they do not.

Yeah it's a little harsh but there is no easy way to dimantle this rats nest. Many of these "cake" jobs were created for family members or DEI hires. I like how they are firing everyone then hiring back the best and non-political. Plus all federal employees have to leave their house and go to office like I do everyday or be fired!

On a side note I'm trying to bite the bullet and will see how it goes but I've had 2 part suppliers send me emails their prices are going up because of Chinese tariffs. Hope Trump can work this out because as everyone knows most copiers & copier parts come from China which means it hurts all of us in this business.

Better than to rely strictly on supervisor ratings.

I would point to twitter pre-Elon. They thought they needed all these people to run Twitter. Turns out that Elon fired 80% of them and its running better than ever.

Let me remind everyone why the cuts are necessary:

As of January 2025, the US federal government paid $392 billion in interest on its debt, which is 16% of the total federal budget. The amount the US pays in interest depends on the total national debt and the interest rates on various securities.
                Projected interest payments
                • The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projects that interest payments will total $952 billion in 2025.
                • The CBO projects that interest payments will rise to $1 trillion in 2026 and $1.8 trillion in 2035.
                • The CBO projects that interest costs will reach 3.2% of gross domestic product (GDP) in 2026 and 4.1% of GDP in 2035.

                Factors affecting interest costs
                • The national debt has increased every year over the past ten years.
                • Interest rates have increased significantly since 2022.
                • Inflation has also increased.

                Impact on federal budget
                • Interest costs are on track to become the largest category of spending in the federal budget.
                • Interest costs are a larger component of federal government spending.

Fun Fact the Trump Administration add 25 percent of the total National debt is just 4 years. With his 4 Trillion dollars tax giveaway to the Rich

Bend over again Republicans can't run the government

Trump did bring prices down on day one. He cut funding for illegals and fired thousands of government employees. More to come.
