Re: USA "People's Convoy"
Being that our Supreme Court struck down nationwide mandates (with the exception of Healthcare that receives federal funding), what are they protesting? Isn't blocking roads and commerce only going to make supply chain issues worse ? Restrictions are being lifted pretty much everywhere so what's the point?
If BLM were blocking roads and doing this, I don't think you would have the same take on these protests.

Re: USA "People's Convoy"
Could I say the same for you? How many times did you call for an end of the BLM protests? Moreover, BLM was looting, setting buildings on fire and attacking the police.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

So, again, I ask what is the point?

Re: USA "People's Convoy"
If I call you a name it's because you had it coming.
To answer your question, the mandates have NOT been lifted. What's more, the consessions that have been made were only done so because it's a few months from the midterm elections and the dems are way behind in the polls. You can't trust those SOB's. They'll more than likely lock it down right after the election.
You have a lot of nerve talking about BLM protests.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Re: USA "People's Convoy"
The Supreme Court struck it down, what concessions are you referring to? Considering the dwindling deaths from Covid the last few months, this has more to do with lifting restrictions than polls and looming elections. I dont remember any more lockdowns after the Dems took the White House and Congress. To suggest the midterms would be different is conjecture.

Read this if you want to know what restrictions are still in place.
State by State Coronavirus-Related Restrictions
Sure, dems are way above lifting unpopular covid restrictions to win an election. They'd never do that. Right.
I answered your question. Now answer mine. How many times did you call for an end of BLM protests?Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Re: USA "People's Convoy"
Um, the lockdowns came during the Trump admin, just in case you forgot. As to your question, I have never called for an end to protests. I have stated that violence and looting should not be tolerated, but I'm all about a good protest. Have you seen my posts Billy, I love to stir the pot, and smoke it.
As to your link, no less the AARP site with your old ass, 40 of 50 states are listed, by you as "Fully Reopened". Thank you for proving my point Billy.

You assume that the truckers are protesting federal mandates. Guess what? It's always been the individual liberal states that have locked it down. My state has been open forever. Most of the liberal states just opened back up....because it's an election year.
I know you never called for an end to the violent BLM protest. I just wanted you to admit it.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Re: USA "People's Convoy"
... expect any Protest Convoy website to be hacked within seven days, especially since they are soliciting donations/ money. No way would I want to put my credit card info on their website.
I am sure the US gov't and Canada are sharing information right now on best practices.
I fear with the widespread and easy availability of guns and militias in the USA plus a whole lot more rednecks and hate groups, the danger of violence will be a whole lot higher than it was in Canada. The Canadian Emergency Act was repealed today, ten days after it was made law.
The protest is almost out of touch with changing events already. Where I live in Nova Scotia the gov't has declared the end of mandatory face mask wearing on March 21.
The potential disruptions to the supply chain, job losses and rising inflation costs are large.Comment

Re: USA "People's Convoy"
I think you are possibly referring to the following. It does not cover all the mandates. SCOTUS gets vaccine mandates right - The Racket News
However, according to your link, they are protesting to end the national emergency declaration; thank you for setting me straight. I still stand by my original dislike of blocking roads and disrupting commerce.
Additionally, I'm from Cleveland, not Chicago. We keep our shootings on the east side of this city.
Ironically, Billys previous post about not being a national issue just got shot to shit, so thanks again!
