... ask the Ukrainians what they think about that dumb statement.

If it were not for western millitary aide, Ukraine would now likely be a Russian puppet state and neither Finland nor sweden would be preparing to join NATO.

Within 24 months, Russia is likely to be both militarily and economically exhaused by the war it started and peace will once again be forced over Europe.

Perhaps. Or perhaps Putin goes nuclear.

Let's look at this from the other side, with the collapse of the Soviet Union in '91 U.S. Secretary of State James Baker assured Mikhail Gorbachev NATO would not expand one inch east, thirty years later we are doing exactly that. NATO went back on its word.

Putin did not invade because of NATO

He did because he thought it would be easy and NATO and US would do nothing. Same playbook as Hitler

Guess Again once again US and NATO united to help Ukraine fight off the Russians.

It's astounding that sane people actually side with Russia on this.
Russia is obviously the aggressor wanting to expand. If the line isn't drawn somewhere people like putin will just continue to push.

My biggest gripe is that the USA is footing most of the bill while your country can't even defend itself. You should thank the USA...don't you think? But you won't.

.. this is one of the main reasons why the USA is spending $B to protect Ukraine. To stop global aggression before it spreads.

Does that mean until Russia pulls completely out of Ukraine territory ? if the US keeps putting billions of dollars into this and Ukraine does fall to Russia did we stop the spread of aggression ?

... but it gave the USA's industrial military complex a huge shot in the arm employing many 1,000s of workers in good paying, skilled jos.

Much of the money being spent on Ukraine was being wasted on America's longest ever war in Afghanistan.
