Convicted felons as president of the US

This is the place for anybody to chime in as to whether convicted felons should be eligible to be president of the US.

I can't wait for all the magatrons to offer their opinions.

My opinion is no, a convicted felon should not be eligible to become president.

You commies are a trip. Let me remind you of a quote from Stalin's secret police chief Lavrentiy Beria: Show me the man and I'll show you the crime. The voters spoke loud and clear on your commie tactics. Trump is president today largely because of the failed commie tactics.

How does this drivel have anything to do with the topic?

As far as I can tell, you are the only one quoting "commies"

IIRC Convicted felons could not hold any governmental job. Now my memory is from living in the US 25 years ago, Don't know if things have changed. Just saying from memory. Note: I pick no political sides.

If all else fails read the Service Manual!

If that fails, meet me at the pub and we will discuss it.

That quote has EVERYTHING to do with the topic. The voters spoke loud and clear on the matter and now Trump is president again as a direct result. Bringing up "Convicted Felon" isn't the flex that you seem to think it is.

What copier addict is attempting to do is take away free elections where the folks decide if Trump is president or not.

A panel of five judges in New York’s mid-level Appellate Division said the verdict, which stood to cost Trump over $515 million and rock his real estate empire, was “excessive.”

What I'm attempting to do is show the blatant hypocrisy of you magatrons.
If the Democratic candidate was a convicted felon you would be whining about it.
Hell, Biden's son was the one in trouble with the law and you whined for four years that it tainted Biden. And Biden has never even been charged with a crime. Trumpty dumpty is a convicted felon and there's "nothing to see here". Maga is a joke

There's a difference between convicted and guilty. OJ was guilty but found innocent of murder. Do you think all convicted black men are guilty? In any event, the voters found Trump innocent.

OJ may not have been guilty but somebody who lived at his mansion was. Think about the timeline, what the driver saw and who told the police exactly where to find the glove.

At least one You Tube lawyer has looked at this and found the your beloved Constitution does not have anything in it to prevent a "convicted felon" from becoming President.
He could be already locked up and still become President. I believe there was a person in the past that ran for President from prison.
So whoever came up with the idea of turning Trump into a "convicted felon" was wasting their time. As we have seen it just made him more popular.

You are absolutely correct. For those who doubt it, here are the qualifications for President as stated in Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution.
"No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United
States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be
eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible
to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five
Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."

Huh? How do voters find someone innocent of 34 felonies? Like I said, Maga is a joke.

OJ was found "not guilty", he wasn't found innocent. There, apparently, wasn't enough evidence to convict him
There was overwhelming amounts of evidence to convict trumpty dumpty. See the difference? Nah, logic is definitely not your forté
