I'm not sure of the weight but it's not that heavy at all. It's a projector screen. I'd say it weighs about 35-40 lbs...if I were to guess.

I haven't installed my audio equipment because I have to buy a bigger table/console for the new stuff. But I did get the projector dialed in. It takes about 2 hours and is kind of a pain in the ass. And the room is still a mess. See below:

Here's a little video of the work we did on the game and movie room. We still have a few odd and end things to finish up but here it is:

Now that I've had a chance to use the theater room quite a bit, I have a few thoughts.

              1. When you have 11 speakers and 2 subwoofers, it's important to get the volume level set correctly and the spacing between the speakers. Failure to do so will result in a less than pleasant experience. I ended up having to purchase a SLP Meter (Sound Level Pressure). This is the easiest way to guarantee that the speaker level is consistent at your seating position. I also ended up needing another microphone to set the sub levels using my laptop and a program called Room EQ.

There's a lot more to this than meets the eye but the final result is worth it. The 4 Atmos speakers in the ceiling take sound to a new level. When a helicopter flies overhead or rain is falling, it's really cool when the sound is coming from above your head.

The subs are the star of the show, though. When there's an explosion, you can feel it.

              2. You don't really rent Blu Ray disks anymore. It's all about streaming and I just got educated real quick on that. I've been using a Fire Stick loaded with Kodi but because it has a wireless internet connection, it doesn't play true hi-resolution 4k movies without buffering. There's some different streaming boxes on the market that have an ethernet connection. I decided to go with the NVIDIA Shield Pro. It's about $200. That costs more than the other ones but head and shoulders the best. It also has a built in Plex Server and I can sideload KODI. You can also stram online games in 4k. It's got all the apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, ect.

Out of all the things that I've done, the movie room has brought the most enjoyment.

I think I'm finally done with my home theater room. I bought a 3rd movie recliner and my NVIDIA Shield Pro came in today. I have to say that the NVIDIA is awesome. It blows the Firestick out of the water. It plays just about any format of video that you can throw at it and it's fast.

When I started out, I really didn't know exactly what I wanted. I made a few mistakes along the way. It's easy to go down the rabbit hole in many different directions - Amps, speakers, screen, projector, media player, music player, ect. When you go down the rabbit hole it costs money so you have to be careful.

While I say that I'm finished, this is more of a hobby and you're never truly finished. But I am taking a break.
