The insurrectionists, many who wore face masks and dressed in black and flew a banner demanding that Israel stop defending itself from rocket attacks against civilians, occupied the ground floor of the Cannon Office Building, one of three main buildings where congressional staff and lawmakers work.


As the insurrection continued, photos show Capitol Police apprehending the insurrectionists and removing them from the building:

There is reasonable proof of corruption within our voting system. Besides, isn't your country built on insurrection anyway? I don't support anyone who damaged property. And I doubt anyone who did was a republican anyway. Putting this aside lets look at it from a logical point of view. The deep state used the crowd for their own agenda. All it takes is a couple people to make the whole thing look much worse then it was. Honestly the entire day seems manufactured from them being let in to having tons of witnesses saying there were people being shipped in on busses and dispersing into the crowd. very sus

insurrection, an organized and usually violent act of revolt or rebellion against an established government.

On January 6, 2021 Donald Trump was the head of the established government. You can not lead an insurrection against yourself.

I believe leading an insurrection against yourself would be better classified as being a traitor. So, if it makes you feel better, let's not call him an insurrectionist and call him a traitor instead.

This whole thing is silly. "Fight like hell" is a common political expression. The extreme left is twisting the expression to push their anti-Trump agenda. Unless someone expressly calls for violence, no one should be punished.
