Joseph, a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away at home on Jan 1, 2023 in Brea, California at the age of 96 of natural causes.

Born April 4,1926 in Washington D.C. to Linnie Ella Largin and Joseph Milton France Sr. He joined the Navy at 17 and served in the 115th Batallion SeaBees. He was stationed in many locations throughout the Philippines. After his honorable discharge at the end of WWII, Joseph worked as a cowboy and hunting guide on many ranches in Wyoming where he met the love of his life, Virginia Sorensen. They married April 4, 1951, later solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple.

Joseph was a truck driver for ICX Trucking for 30 years covering 3 million miles, accident free. After he retired from truck driving, he worked maintenance for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served 2 Stake Missions for the Church.

Joseph is survived by his 7 children: Joseph, Michael, David, Kerry, Debra, Shelley and Jacques, 26 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Virginia, and their son Steven.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. There will be a visitation from 9:30 to 10:45 am prior to the services. Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.

Joseph Arthur Bureau
October 19,1937 to January 20, 2023
Joseph Arthur Bureau, 85, of West Haven, CT passed away January 20, 2023 at home with his beloved family by his side. Joseph, also known as Tootsie to his parents, Arthur to his wife, Dad to his daughters, and Pappy to his grandkids, was born October 19, 1937 in New Haven, CT to Arthur and Marie Bureau. He was raised in West Haven, CT and had the fondest memories of Savin Rock Amusement Park, drag racing his classic 50's cars, and helping his father fix cars in his auto repair shop. Joseph went on to serve in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Texas, Ohio, and England until he was honorably discharged. Shortly after his service commitment, he returned home to CT where he met his wife, married, started a career in home building and built the house that he shared with his wife and four daughters. In his later years, Joseph went on to serve as West Shore Fire Commissioner and started a home inspection business where he worked until his mid 70's. Joseph always felt his biggest accomplishment was raising a loving, close-knit family. He was the sweetest and kindest husband, father and grandfather, and will be truly missed. Joseph leaves behind his wife, Barbara Bureau; daughters, Beth Bureau-Heyn (Jeff Heyn), Julie Clark (Craig Clark), Anne Reynolds (Matthew Reynolds), and Janine Bureau (Joshua Malkin); grandkids, Carter and Kaiden Reynolds, Jackson and Emilia Heyn, James Clark, Cole Saraiva, and Charles, Lucas, and Rachel Malkin; brother, Richard Bureau (Darlene Evans); sisters-in-law, Anna Hogan and Barbara Avery-Bureau, brother-in-law Francis Graff (Tina Graff), and nieces and nephews, David Bureau, Brian Bureau, Justin Bureau, Kristen Hogan, Kelly Hogan, Kathleen Hogan-Bentz, Amy Graff, and Frederick Graff. Arthur, Dad, Pappy- God broke our hearts on 1/20/23 but he proved he only takes the best. You will remain in our hearts until we meet again somewhere in time. Family and friends may visit the Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm St. West Haven Thursday, January 26, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday January 27, at St Lawrence Church, Main St., West Haven at 10:30 a.m. with full military honors to follow. Alice Bujold of Fitchburg died on January 20, 2023 at the River Terrace Nursing Home after a short illness. She was the daughter of Virginio and Anna (Tersinelli) Dori and was born in Leominster, MA on May 6th 1930. She is survived by her husband of 68 years Kenneth E. Bujold and three sons, Kevin and his wife Marian of Templeton, MA, Kenneth II and his wife Susan of Canton, CT, and Kris and his wife Edna of Seekonk, MA.; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Prior to her retirement in 1995 she worked for 30 years in the catalog department at the Fitchburg Public Library.

Her funeral will be celebrated with at mass at 10 AM in St. Anthony Church on Saturday, February 4, 2023. A short service will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg is directing arrangements.

Barbara A. (Ballard) Chadwick, age 92, of Swansea, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 in her residence. She was the wife of the late F.T. "Mickey" Chadwick former Pres/GM of Baker Tractor Corp. with whom she shared 37 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia to the late Howland and Elsie (Rimmer) Ballard, she was a long-time area resident and artist of Swansea, Westport and Key County, Florida. A graduate of B.M.C Durfee High School, she received her Bachelors of Science in Home Economics from Framingham State University. Barbara had a successful career as a teacher at Joseph Case High School and switched to art, owning Crewel and Canvas Inc. for 10 years, she furthered her artistic studies at the Elsa William School of Embroidery, The William Holland School of Lapidary Arts and The RI School of Design. An avid traveler she enjoyed cruises and visits to the far east to study and procure materials for her projects.

Barbara was a Girl's Sea Scout and Cub Scout Leader, a present or past member of The League of Women Voters, Fall River Junior League, The Fall River Ski Club, the Embroiders Guild of America, The Westport Historical Society, The Westport Art Group and the Westport Point Methodist Church. From her homes studios she enjoyed a success making Japanese silk and metal thread embroidery, dycrilic glass, sterling silver and gold wire jewelry, she concluded by creating Sailors Valentines using fine tropical shells by commission.

She is survived by her son, William Chadwick of Swansea; and grandchildren, Alan Walters of Westport and Amy Walters of Dartmouth. She was predeceased by her late daughter Jean Ellen Chadwick.

A service celebrating he life will be held at Thursday, February, 2, 2023 at 6:00PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardeners Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends invited. Visitation will be held prior from 4:00-6:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Coast VNA
