Cut both in the middle now you have 4 equal pieces, save one piece for later, puzzle solved
      Took me 10 seconds.

Line up both apples, and with that single stroke cut 1/3 off both apples. Person #1 gets 2/3, person #2 gets 2/3, and person #3 gets (2) pc of 1/3. Voila! =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Why save it, eat it yourself.

You mean slit the throat of one. You would then have to dispose of the body. Plus you will have 2 witnesses to deal with.

                This answer is correct.

Obviously, we must first figure out what an equal portion is for 2 apples between 3 people. First you divide 3 into 2. That gives us .666666 or 6/9 = 2/3.

From there it's pretty straight forward. However, I asked about 5 people that I know this question and not one got it right.

Now the real question. Why waste good apples by giving them to children who might not appreciate them properly. Throw them in the cider press, the apples not the children, and press some cider. The children will enjoy the fresh cider. The adults will have to wait until the cider ferments. When you hear the cork hit the dishpan the cider is ready.
