DeSantis signs Florida fluoride ban. What comes next?
Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill today that will stop local governments from putting fluoride in water.

The bill DeSantis signed doesn’t specifically mention fluoride. Instead, it bans local governments from putting anything in the water that doesn’t help with improving water quality or reducing contaminants.

The move to block fluoride has been decried by major health organizations, which warn that it would negatively affect residents’ health.

Good news is it's still in all your other beverages, can vegetables and Beer HA

Why are right wingers always trying to take their constituents backwards? It's absolutely ridiculous.
It's like they have to check their brains at the door when they become politicians.

Trump slashing weather agencies comes on the heels of a devastating Florida hurricane season
About 550 people have left the National Weather Service, around 10% of its staff, since government cuts began this year, according to a letter from the agency earlier this month.

The Tampa Bay office is down by six people. That includes two employees considered “operational,” meteorologists who work on a rotating 24/7 schedule.

Workers have been caught in a limbo of confusing firings and rehirings.

With another hurricane season almost upon us, it’s unclear how staffing changes may impact the accuracy of weather and storm forecasts.

Years ago the weather channel did an excellent job of tracking and forecasting. Then NBC bought them. Most of their top on air meteorologists went elsewhere.

I have to pay close attention to the weather because I live in a very flood prone neighborhood and have to move my cars on even a minor storm and I've been making my own forecasts for close to 10 years now based on easily available data on the web on sites like Windy. Once you know how to use the tools Windy now puts at your fingertips there is no need to watch a TV weather forecast.
