If the electricity that the electric cars are powered by is created by combustion of fossil fuels, electric vehicles are no more "green" than an average internal combustion engine vehicle. Two-thirds of the electricity used to recharge the vehicle's batteries is produced by burning fossil fuels, the nation's single largest source of greenhouse gas emissions

... global oil prices reach new highs based upon record demand.

Oil prices edged higher on Friday after the International Energy Agency forecast record global demand and tightening supplies, propelling prices to the seventh straight week of gains, the longest such streak since 2022.

... this is the future for all gas powered vehicles. You can do nothing and complain about rising prices or you can get a vehicle that is powered by non carbon sources.

Please let me know when there's enough non carbon sources to power our economy and I'll be glad to make the transition. Currently 90+ percent of EV's are powered by coal.

Gas would be dirt cheap if you got rid of all the taxes on it. Once they get enough people into electric cars, they will figure how to tax themjust the same. I am already reading how at some chargers out there it costs more to charge your car now than fill it with gas.
