Let's do a little math. Proven world petroleum reserves is 1.564 trillion barrels. OPEC Says World’s Proven Oil Reserves Rose To 1.56 Trillion Barrels | OilPrice.com.

Total world consumption in 2019, the last year before the pandemic caused a reduction in global travel decreasing the consumption, was about 100.37 million barrels per day. Use of oil - U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA)

Without discovering any new petroleum fields or tapping the unproven reserves there is currently enough fossil fuel to power the world for over 42 years. In addition to that is the development of alternative fuels for internal combustion engines and engineering advancements that allow for their use. Examples are bio-diesel and ethanol. Research is being into using fuels such as methanol (wood alcohol), isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) and isobutanol
    (a commonly used organic solvent).

BTW, the "All Electric Home" is not a new concept. They were a trendy idea in the 1950s through the 1970s. Disneyland even had an "All Electric" home of the future as an exhibit in Tomorrow Land. The idea died when people realized that all electric was far too expensive and that only the rich could afford them. Plus the fact that it took more fossil fuel to generate the need electricity for an all electric home than a home use fossil fuel for heating and cooking used. as a result there would not be enough readily available electrical energy to power every home. And the truth is that those same factors still exist.
