Right leaning governments always try to tear down education. Whether it by creating stories about how it's destroying children. Or they will cut funding so much school boards become ineffective. And the more uneducated people are, the more they tend to believe the messaging from their leaders.

America spends the 2nd highest money on education per pupil compared to other countries but lag behind MANY other countries. Whatever the DOE is doing clearly isn't effective. Doing the same thing over and over again is insanity.
