    Colour printer/copier/scanner list

Some advice please on Colour printer/copier/scanner

I have been looking at these 2nd hand colour printers/copiers listed below and i am thinking of buying one of them. All would fit the requirements as far as specs go.
    - Do you have any recommendations to STAY CLEAR of specific models? - Do you recommend any BETTER ones instead?

    I am looking mainly for:
    a) Reliability issues
    b) Colour performance
    c) Toner and drum expense

    Well here's my 0.02

    The Canon iRC3200 is a workhorse-good choice.
The Ricoh AF2228C/2232C/2238C aren't bad at low volume, for business color. The yields on the various consumables is quite low, so they're expensive to operate, and the color is not that great.

I don't know the other models. Who's next?
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I have 15 Ricoh 2238/2232/2228 machines that I service. Keep OEM toner and OEM units these machines HUM.
It is not the machine, it is the service it receives.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Hi guys, Thanks for the advice.

If anyone else has advice/views that please share it. Especially for the Konica/Minolta.

I worked on a -few- of the CF 3102/2002, so I'm no expert. They are a fairly old machine, but from what I remember the output was pretty good. I think the machine rolled up under the scanner which is odd ball. Maybe the scanner was even seperate. Toner price, don't know but each imaging unit has to be either replaced on PM cycle or rechipped and used for another life. We used to get 2 life cycles out of an imaging unit easy. I think the fuser was the same way with the chip. A KM tech could tell you for sure. Being such an old machine I wouldn't give much money for it.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

            Hello,

Not an expert on the other brands but any of your Canon choices are sound, it depends on what you will be using it for.

If you are doing short run where colour quality is most important then opt for the irc2620 or 3200. If it is spot colour or general office use then the irc2880 is the one to go for.
