[WTF] Hey man were did you get your shoes??

I find I go though a lot of shoes in this biz. Soles come separated or cracked. Tops get scuffed. Laces don't last for %hiT , insoles just plain wear out or go limp or no cushion. Have any of you found decent shoes to take the abuse we techs give them? I need black dress like shoes not some sort of Athletic shoe made black. How much do you spend on a pair I don't mind paying if quality is there

I can destroy shoes. Between crouching, walking & driving all day, shoes can last anywhere from 3 weeks to 12 weeks. The last set are amazingly comfortable and over 3 months old: croft & barrow.

I'm looking for the next pair, and I hope it's the same brand.

I used to wear exclusively Florsheim wing-tips, but the quality has fallen off in the last few years. They just don't last any more. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I have a five year old set of Dakota's that came from Mark's Work Wearhouse. I have used Florsheim and Doc Marten in the past to good effect. I generally am pretty easy on footwear and get a few years or more from a quality pair. My current set are safety shoes also, steel toe and shank.

This is what I wear. Colorado - Mens Footwear

I buy 1 new pair each year, and they last FOREVER! A little expensive, but totally worth it!

I go to the shoe shop and choose the cheapest shoes that fit my liking. They last forever (my current pair has over a year) and I use them all week. Call me a cheap bastard - I truly am!

How about pants. My knee's wear out just as fast! I give shoes and pants 6 months.

                Croft & Barrow!

I agree with blackcat on this one. I have paid $120+ looking for the right shoe.

I have had my Croft & Barrow for over a year now with no signs of giving up the ghost or sole.

If you add water to it, you're screwed - I vacuum mine before washing, works almost every time.

I bought Dockers last time. They are waterproof and that has come in handy.
