do typewriters count in this thread??? I used to do per machine labor for a company on cape cod, MA. when they'd get 8-10 machines in house, i'd go down for the day and pick-up a few hundred dollars.
one machine was flown over from nantucket island(IBM selectric). no start condition. popped the cover, entirely filled with mouse nest material.
put the cover back on. no charge. not repairable on the tag. I HATE FRGGIN MICEComment

Konica Minolta is going to have to print another one of their "Don't Do This!" stickers:
No Lizards!:

1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I am impressed. That lizard must have had to remove at least 120 screws to get in that Konica. The greatest enemy of knowledge isn't ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge. Stephen HawkingComment

It's not exactly found in a copier but it's the weirdest thing I've ever seen come out of one!
It hasn't done a mirror image but has turned each individual character around. In 30+ years in this game I haven't seen anything like it.
This came out of a HP E87660z the machine that HP say they are going to capture the A3 laser market with but if they keep producing crap like this expect a large drop in their share price.

Re: What's the weirdest thing that you have ever found inside a copier, printer?
That's Great! The closest I've ever seen to that is when Windows7 first came out, and Office 2008 switched over to the default Calibri font.
Most printers did not have Calibri as a base font, and often the substitute font did not substitute very well. For examples, all the "e"s might be missing, or substituted with another character, like "7". The local IT just went through and defaulted every Office program to New Times Roman font, and that was fine for internal documents. But emailed documents usually came in Calibri font. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
