Anybody ever kneel on a screw? Especially on a hard floor?

I think people heard me two counties away when I knelt on that sucker!

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yer my knees go from kneeing down at copiers too. Done the hard yards in my youthful days with a lot of active sports. To old to play most of them now...

I always work on the floor by sitting cross legged. I've had a few customers remark they cant do that but i cant work standing up plus if something falls off it doesnt go anywhere... complete bitch to get back up though at my age.

I would have thought that all of you old Tech's would have made yourself's(or bought) a Tense machine by now. Simple 555 timer and a box to put it in is all that is required.

I made my own Tense machine (Zapper) along time ago and swear by it. At the first hint of a sore back , leg or arm I'm straight on my Tense machine and 24hours later its gone. Most aches and pains are from toxins building up in your muscles. If you can't exercise your body then Zap your muscles with and electrical charge at the right frequency and location and you in effect are exercising your muscle for free. No need to run around the block any more....

After a Zapping I have super (I mean super) hot shower and then 2 glasses of alkaline water(my own built water charger) to replace the dehydration and bobs ya uncle, back on deck for another round. 90% of toxins are simple bacteria in your gut turning your good food into toxins instead of energy for you own cells. The wrong bacteria in you gut and you have no petrol supply to your body cells. If your cells can't get energy your body feels tired starts aging, and all sorts of health problems can set in.

The zapper also kills parasites in you blood. You can down load the frequency chart for all bacteria, pathogens, allogens from "Dr. Hulda Clarks" web site. http://www.healthysigns.com. The right frequency will kill most influenza and colds viruses dead before they can take hold of your immune system. If you haven't got a Zapper get the workshop frequency generator put it on square wave and off your go.

Anyway enough trivia some of you would know most of the above already....

There are two things that keep my 52 year old frame in good shape. I have build homes from scratch, run excavator for years, Heavy Duty Mech in coal mines (decade), run a 60 foot long WebLeader newsprint press complete with film and plate making, lots of chem, started out at 17 as an elect mech tech on battery operated warehouse floor cleaners. Always climbing bending, squishing arm and hand into tight spots like a tiny jap tecnician, but I swear by my two true loves.

A good chiropracter (keneseology only) and copious quantities of Sleemans Cream Ale. My consumption averages 12 a day at a min and gets up to 24. Anyone thinking alchy here? likely. But I drink nothing else, no pop (sodas, no hard stuff or shooters, simply good clean beer with no preservatives, and lots of it.

I don't get sick and I don't get hangovers. I work at least 18 hours a day and can compete with all the young punks who, like the old guys who taught me stated, "I forgot more than you'll ever know".

Have to admit though, I have stopped jumping off of walls and the backs of transport trailers. I now just climb down. The chiropractor is unhappy that I am not visiting him so much now.

As for knees, not that I needed it yet, but new ones are better than operations. Replacment mechanical knees have worked exceptional for everyone I know. My step dad had his done at 76 and was riding a bike again in three weeks, flipping amazing.

                Oh oh, beer time, later

I have a set of knee pads in my trunk for times I know I am going to need them to work on a machine, but I also invested in a tool kit that has a seat built in to it. Very handy when working on longer than normal repair routines....

We have one of the senior techs in our workshop on permanent light duties since he decided to attack a 4x4 with his motorbike. He’s lucky to be alive but his legs are a mess, he’s got so much metal in there he’s going to have trouble with airport scanners. I had a look at his x-rays and apart from the 3 rods and a plate I lost count after 25 screws. 18 months later he is off the crutches and is just using a walking stick but is about to go back for more surgery to rebuild his knee.

I feel your pain... I'm out of the 'full-time' copier fixing business now, but I have stuffed knees too. My right knee in particular plays up, (clicks loud enough for others to hear). Some pain at times, but I find exercise helps a bit. If I get tired my knees hurt more and softdrinks make it worse, so beer only.
If you are hitting your head up against a wall it always feels better when you stop.

oh, the pain.. have done it myself. i sit on the floor when i am going to "down there for a while", it hurts less getting up. i still have not gone to an electric screwdriver, it helps keep the hands a little more nimble.

In the workshop I wouldn't be without my electric srewdriver. They are provided by the company but their cheap ones so I bought my own.

Regarding kneeling on a screw, I remember the last time that happened. I yelled & the secretary asked me what was wrong. I told her "I kneed a screw". After the pain subsided, I realized why she was looking at me so funny

Old and battered and bruised. Knee on the way out, but I can still kneel for ages (getting up is entertainment for the customers) The arthritis in the fingers and back is only an annoyance. And yes I use an electric screwdriver, wouldn't be without it, high speed and with multiple torque settings mean very few damaged screws. I get annoyed at people who use all their sick days on trivialites, had two weeks off (1 in hospital) after they told me the the pains I had had were as a result of a couple of minor heart attacks.

Still in 20s, only concern is replacing shoes because the tips are scuffed so bad from kneeling all day
