I don't know of any 'current' female copier techs but I know a lady who worked on copiers in the 1960's... I do know a lady electronics technician, though. I think it is a male dominated industry and probably always will be, for so many reasons (most girls don't like getting dirty, to start with!).
If you are hitting your head up against a wall it always feels better when you stop.
I've known a total of 4 women copier technician in my 21 years of copier life, most women don' like the dirt and grease associated with this field. I've seen more women now starting to carry tool bags and maybe a start of a new trend, it definitely make this industry more interesting.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.
I can think of a few and the strange thing is when i have been to copier factories there are normally more women than men many of whom could if they wanted to be very good field engineers imo.
One of our trainers was a woman. She was a great instructor. She knew just how to deal with a room full of overinflated egos.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
Yup. Work directly with two of them, and there are at least two more out of another branch of my company. They do make things interesting. I had thought they would get a hard time from customers, but turns out they actually get treated better- whether they fix it right or not!
The glass maybe half full, but less is more...
Printer + Fax + Copier = Jack Of Many Trades,
but Master Of None
Color Copier = Not A Color Printer
InkJet MFP = Not A Fax Machine
B/W Copier = Not A Press
Finisher = Deal Closer (salesman, not accessory)
Copier Tech = Admin's Stress Ball (Scapegoat)
In 15 years I have only worked with 2 and they are good. Every time they would go to school they would ace the class. One of them trained me on the biz hub 920, 1050, and the c6500.
