Getting antsy to get my veggie garden started! It's hard to be patient this time of year.......
We are not sure what it will be doing here ......................

The high temp yesterday was 72 , low at 45 .
We have already had our high temp today of 44 , (with almost a 1/4 inch of rain) and it is currently 29 and the low is to be around 24.
So far they have not mentioned snow .

DRIVEWAY MELT ? What is that .... a new grilled sandwich at Waffle House ?
I know what snowthrowers are ..... that's my grandkids when we do get snow down here .

I do hope all ya'll getting hit so hard up there make it through OK..................

I very much doubt you'd enjoy a Driveway Melt if Waffle House had one, they are way too salty.

Re: A view from your front door

I've never bothered posting on this thread as I live in a built up area and the view from my front door is the houses across the street, but I took this picture of the river Thames while I was out walking this evening, and this is only a couple of hundred yards from my house

Excellent photo, nice clarity... I've never seen snow except when I defrost my freezer.
I give up what is a sun dog ? Is it ice crystals reflexed in the atmosphere?

We see prismic coloured golden halos here around the sun. Truly a majestic seen with magificant colours. I'm informed by our weather beuro that these coloured halo's are formed from ice crystals high up in the atomosphere. I could never figure that out during a clear day in the middle of summer heat wave.

You haven't missed much Neo, its wet cold and nasty stuff and I never want to see it again. Never figured out why people spend a fortune to go to Mt Kosciuszko to play in the stuff.

Sun dogs like these are caused by the sun shining through snow being carried by energetic winds. They are called sun dogs because they appear to follow the sun around.
Lagonda is right, though, the weather is somewhat unpleasantly cold and windy at ground level when sun dogs appear in the winter around here.

The dogs all got excited tonight, we had guests in the front yard.

Cool picture brewster. Moose in the front yard. I get deer all the time and sometimes coyotes, Bobcats and pumas. No moose as of yet.

It did, the tempreture plummeted so low I had to put some long pants on.

Got this from outside my back door after a rather energetic thunderstorm passed through the area today. Hope that counts.
