    1 yr and counting

Seems like a quick yr, last year this time I was driving around dunno what I was doing reminiscing telco(still does), thinking I was stifled and complaining.

It all seems different now. The job is still what I like to do(really!), particular problem solving and time management. Special satisfaction comes from finding a real solution to a problem, instead of resolving by swapping parts whole sale(not wrong in itself, saves time in a pinch).

KM is a good brand. If anyone is willing to dig and struggle with what's available(and there is plenty, just a bit hard to find), you just might enjoy working with the machine.

I felt stifled before, but then that was because I didnt know my place. You can be anybody working with a large work force. In a semi-small shop with its own philosophy/vision, discipline can be a different taste.

Nothing is ever perfect, half full is better than nothing.

Especially with community here that's helping out, anyone can be a good tech as long as your willing.

    on to #2.

    thx folks.

In this business the first year is always the hardest. It only gets easier from here on in.

The thing to watch for is complacency. The experience gives you a strong basis for solving problems but it's not enough. You've got to keep learning every call, every day. Keep reading those manuals. Keep sharing with the forum members.

You've got a great future in this business. And remember, it's for the glory, 'cause it couldn't be for the money. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I'm still waiting for "the glory" part to happen and i've been doing this for years.

It's a steady paycheck that pays the bills. Then again, I do like what I do, it is always interesting & challenging. I think I do it for satisfaction, but I don't think i'd ever say I did it for glory.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".
