    Hey Jimbo1,

I read your blog posts and I know how you feel about the current administration but who would you rather see in there. If the Presidential primary election we taking place today, who is getting your vote?

Haven't made my mind up yet. There are so many it's like grains of sand on the beach.

    Who would you vote for?

Yeah I mean that's half my beef is why the Dems want to hang on to someone who isn't fulfilling their needs.
I have to wait till the dust settles on the other side because it's silly season right now.

How about Ronald Regan (before he went senile)?

So you have no opinion on the GOP candidates?

I'm waiting for someone to stand out that I don't believe will be just another status quo type. No it ain't Ron Paul. Is that what your fishing for?

It would be so awesome if Ron Paul was the Republican nominee, and then the President. Democrats, Republicans, and the media would all lose their mind and finally someone would win that no powerful people or corporations wanted to win.

I really wasn't fishing for Ron Paul, while he has some likable opinions on US involvement in foreign wars and US trade practices he is too far right to win a general election. Very similar to the way a Ralph Nader is too far left. Governance needs to come from the middle, to govern is to compromise and both of those two would fail miserably in that respect. I was hoping you were going to jump in with Perry, Bachmann or any of the other science denying, uber-Christian candidates coming from the GOP this cycle. Right now I think John Huntsman is probably the most "electable" candidate the GOP has but he might as well hang it up now because the Tea Party Republicans would never support him in the primaries due to his views on Global Warming, science in general, woman's reproductive rights, civil unions, and economics. And without the Tea Party vote, no candidate with the possible exception of Mitt Romney would make it out of the primaries. And I almost forgot, he is a Mormon, which would keep a lot of Christians home on election day.

I guess I will check in after the Primaries and we can pick up the friendly debate again when it matters.

I'm with CCWilliams on this one. Ron Paul would be good. But he is a libritarian. Not Republican. And too far right. You got to be kidding me. He believes in making pot legal. He is a good man with good ideas. Not going to get the nomination though.

So you are saying that beliving in god is science denying, uber-christian. I think Obama,Bush, Clinton, Etc all went to church.

Don't be insulting people that go to church. How about this global warming thing they are talking about and it's all man made. Hell there were glaciers all over the place 10,000 years ago. Not many people back then either. How about the sun might be causing the snow to melt instead of blaming man like our good buddy Al Gore. Better not talk science. Al's head will blow up.

I don't beleive one way or the other.

I think we need to vote Jimmy Carter back into office.

Not sure about 2012 but look out for 2016.

Chris Chisty, Rand Paul, or Mark Rubio. Up and coming. we will see.

                    This year, not sure.

My guess is Romny , Perry.

Palin, Backman, and the others are good people but not electable in my opionion.

Palin had her chance at VP so her time this year is up.

I'm guessing it will be a Romny, Perry ticket. Not sure who is at the top.

Still lots of time for things to pan out.

No, I'm not saying that and never did. I stated that certain candidates are science denying uber-Christians. Believing that there is a "man in the sky" that created, and has some control over, everything in the universe does not preclude someone from believing in science. For example, I know many people who believe that there is a God and also believe that the earth is more than approximately 6,000 years old, the majority of the GOP front running Presidential candidates in this election cycle do not.

I'm not, and could care less how people want to spend their free time. Going to Church, Synagogue, Temple, Mosque is generally a positive experience for many people that participate. But when fundamentalists of any religious flavor want to impose their way of thinking on the world, that is when you start creating problems.

You can believe in what 98% of the world scientists say is going on or you can believe what the Oil Companies pay the other 2% to tell you. Yes the world's has had many naturally occurring changes in the environment but man does has a effect on the environment and is not always a positive one. What is wrong with trying to have as little impact on the planet as reasonably possible?

No there wasn't, the Earth is only about 6,000 years old. I wasn't trying to insult with that one, it was just a sarcastic comment meant to show how Fundamentalist Christianity and science sometimes don't get along so well.

Perry wont make it, Romney is playing it smart by keeping his mouth shut while Perry has been all over the media saying stuff that will only hurt himself in the long run.
