Re: Is it really out of toner?
In this situation I had a customer that would just pour in some more developer. The waste bottle should be filled to the top with developer also. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

If no toner is available, try putting water in the bottle and shake it up. Thats what some of my customers would do.The greatest enemy of knowledge isn't ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge. Stephen HawkingComment

Re: Is it really out of toner?
Here is what I do:
I take an exact o knife and cut out all the letters on the paper. If you take the entire page, the machine will catch fire. Trust me, I know. I then grind them up into a paper/toner pulp. After a quick heat treatment to extract the moisture, I regrind to a fine powder. I then put it into my home-made centrifuge, which consists of an old washing machine belted to a car engine, forcing the toner and paper to separate. After adjusting my voltages to prevent fire from any left over paper dust (always safety first!) I add my "toner" into the old cartridge. I am paying a mere .0000374 per page!!! Not to mention the added bonus of my office smelling like a campfire!!!
