If it's considered an instrument, I have sang most of my life. At one time I was pretty good. It went to the same place that my high school Spanish went to. If I find it again I'll let you know.

I'd love to learn the guitar. Someday I'll have the time if I survive this job. =^..^=

Hi! I play the guitar and am currently playing in an 80s Glam metal band (Poison, GnR, MotleyCrue, Skid Row, etc)

accoustic guitar...I would say mostly blues..my wife calls my playing "sad"..I am now regulated to a tree stump out in the back yard..I have found the neighborhood peacocks seem to be ok with it..Emujo

Back Yard Blues ....... some of the greatest Blues are heard outside .

Growing up here and in rural ALA, almost every night you could here music ( mostly Blues ) from somewhere down the road, across the fields, or from the other side of the river . What a great way to grow up .
And tell your wife BLUES AIN'T ALWAYS SAD !
And remember what Big Joe says: " If you don't dig the BLUES...you got a hole in your soul !"

A little history lesson from my Bro-in-Law :
The first 5-string bass.

The Fender V was introduced in 1965 featuring a C string and a short 15 fret neck that made the higher notes more accessible.

Odd-looking beast but it clearly inspired the modern 5-string.

Been in bands all my playing life(40 years).
Sometimes as frontman....sometimes as lead guitarist but most recently both.

Not in a band but have a vintage Gretsch drum kit that I love to play. Great for those days where you've had the client/

machine from Hell; crank up the tunes and lose yourself in the music. Best medicine ever

I've been playing guitar since i was 8(i'm 50). also play violin and drums. Love my classical rock and blues. Jammed with many blues artists(Buddy Guy in his hotel room(played a bluesfest with him),Osee Anderson,Rik Emmett from Triumph,Pinetop Perkins,tons of others. Not in a band at present,but get called to play blues gigs all the time. I also teach guitar and theory on the side. I play a 1978 Gibson Les Paul(bought it new lol) and a 62 pre-CBS Fender Strat. Marshall Amps of course(Jim Marshall just passed away,bless his soul).Designed and built most of my effects other than my main rack and pre-amps. Music is my life when i`m not sucking toner.

Who's in a band? What styles of music do you play? What instrument(s) do you mostly play?

Just joined back with a buddy of mine and we started doing music again. We've went into the studio and got a few things recorded as well. I have SERVERAL keyboards (synths and samplers) and he has a couple as well as he play's bass. We got his brother and another friend to do guitar. I managed to pick up a trumpet for pretty cheap and I've been playing that again some. (I use to play it back in the day) Our music has a pretty 80's feel too it.
