First:
post like this are going to cause all kinds of dissent among members that post replies.
Second:
I do not give a flying care what my rep is or if I have green or red cards. I also do not care what most of you think about me. If you wish to help me fine, if not that is ok also. If I can help I will but do not discount my suggestion and expect further help.
Third:
This is slightly personal but not meant to single any one out.....
In regards to manual4you. It does not matter if you like him, or his post about links to manuals. He is a member and pays for advertising last time I checked. If you need a manual and no one else has or is willing to share with you then he might be the only option available. If you are in a time crunch he may be the fastest way to get what you need. I have traded with him for something I needed and no one else on this or any of the others sites I use had. 30 minutes and I had what I needed. His price is not bad considering what you get and how fast. Do I like seeing his post for manuals.. frankly no. Do I go out of my way to ridicule or demean him for it.... why should I.
This goes for a few other posters out there.. Like some put it. First time poster and they want manuals or firmware for free.... Why help them when I do not know who or what they know? Then they make remarks about the post they get. Not cool or wanted.
Fourth:
Also ( I know not everyone on here speaks english as a first language) most posters may ask for clarification of what you want do to a translation issue. Do not take it personally just try to understand we would like to help just may not know what you are looking for. If this happens post in you native language and englsh translation as this may help. Some one here may be able to translate better than google or what ever program you used.
Fifth:
I read all taglines once, some more, and some I steal for other sites!!!
That is it for now let the red cards fly.
I don't think you succeeded.
No red card from me, how do I help in a green one?
The rep power think irks me, and not because I yearn for the acknowledgement of people who I don't know. Gift, who regularly has useful and accurate input, has a rep power of 0 (although he claims that it's actually a negative figure.) Tonermunkeh, who I know personally and am convinced is a better-than-average engineer (get in!) is incredibly helpful and yet has a rep power of only 32 from a little under 2000 posts. Here are a couple of things that get my goat:
Let's say that I read a post with almost no information on it, spend the time asking a couple of questions, reply to the post with a manual highlighting the part that I'd check, revisit the question, get ignored as my first answer wasn't right, repeat the suggestion, get ignored, repeat it some more and eventually fail to care. By this time I have a red card for whatever reason. This is a good example: http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/ri...er-screen.html
Or giving advice and never knowing whether it helped or not.
Or giving advice knowing fine well that I'm right and then not getting a green card.
Or getting a red card from somebody who hasn't even offered advice or, and this may be a pointer as to who it is, put their advert on the post. I assume that this was because I provided a manual.
Or getting a red card for saying RTFM. I check everywhere to find an answer before posing on here, it's not a quick and easy way to make me lazier.
And if you think that I'm being a smart-ass and place no value on what I suggest, add me to your ignore list. That's what it's there for.
Hey plumber Paul i don't care to see ur thread , You do not mean anything to me
MANUAL4you x 0 = 0
I was going to advise not doing something like this. He's the reason why I lost what little rep I had. I probably cried for like two weeks straight after that but then I relaized it doesn't really matter and I'm better now.
Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you. O.o

How about a nice hot cup of I don't give a shit? I actually have -70 rep points according to the little star icon below my avatar and I don't care as long as I can use this forum without limtations. On the other hand my user profile tells me that I've collected about 50 "likes" since my arrival and - surprise - I don't really care about that too - as long as I can use this forum without limitations. In my opinion this is a valid proof how schizophrenic and retarded these redneck-tools works and therefore you have the answere WHY I can't give a shit on these. What I actually care about are good conversations/tech talk and getting some feedback/input to suggestions, including constructive criticism in case I told bullshit - and learning some english of course, even if the asian/3rd world fraction isn't always really helpful giving good lessons here
Yeah I had a few beer this evening... (and I almost wrote bear^^)
Unless somebody beats me to the punch this will be post #53 on this thread, so let me see if I can sum things up:
Post[#1..#52] + $4.75 = 1 Cup of Coffee.
...on second thought, let's include post #53 in there too.
Fricken coffee is expensive in ssippi... Glad I don't drink coffee. Now I've got hockey playoff's on the tube and a couple less than $4.75 +53 posts beers to retire.

The stuff I drink is much cheaper that's the Starbucks price - wish I had a scam like that.
Well, maybe I'm opening a can of worms here but, ...
1. I don't believe a person should lose rep just because people don't like the tagline. Many people post things I find offensive. I simply don't read it. I believe everyone will have to face God, eventually, even the terrorists. If you're a good person and have lived according to God's standards, this will be a good thing and you will have nothing to fear at all. I didn't find it offensive and I'm not a Muslim.
2. However, things that cost someone money should not be given freely. At least, not without receiving something in return. That's why it is called a trade. When trades occur they should happen in PM's, since making public information that cost money is making it free for all. If you are giving away free what others have worked hard to obtain, you deserve what you get (in this case a bad rep). Put up with it or shut up about it.
3. Who cares about the rep? Everyone. You are my peers and being judged by ones peers positively is a good thing. It means more than a review by bosses who have no clue what I do everyday. Anyone who says it doesn't matter is lying. Does that mean the world ends if I get negative rep? No, but having a good one is still better than having a bad one. (I have a rep of 26. Let's see how long that lasts now. )
4. Try to be peace-makers instead of war-makers. Lord knows we have too many of the other kind in the world as it is.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".
