You know the ones, their first dispatch might be 9:30 then off the radar screen until 3:00 and you know they are on their way home. Somehow their "numbers" always look great and the boss doesn't want to hear about the shenanigans. If neckties ever become required again I hope they get pulled thru a segment 9 machine and duplexed!

Re: Lazy Co-workers, is there any justice?
Years ago, when I was a service manager, I got back into town early from some meetings so I decided to check up on some of my "special" guys, like the ones in the previous thread. I called our dispatch center and asked where tech A was and when they told me I realized it was close to his house. Instead of going to the customer I drove straight to his house (it was 3:45PM) and guess who is there? I called him on his phone and said "where are you", his reply, "I'm at customer so and so's office" Really? Thats' were I'm at and I don't see you. About 2 minutes later he came running out of his house and just before he got in his car he looked up and saw me sitting there. I waved at him, told him to be in my office in the morning and the next day I fired him! So, lazy techs do get what's coming to them some times.Testing 1-2-3, testing, testing. Is this thing on? -
Re: Lazy Co-workers, is there any justice?
Not often enough. There are people on our team that I would gladly run through a meat grinder after being skinned alive and dipped in vinegar. There is no justice in this world when these fuckers drag our team down because they are lazy, bone-idle bastards who make those of us who do a proper job run about like headless chickens, fitting parts they don't, servicing the machines correctly. We are the ones that get penalised for high parts spend and long calls.
Hopefully these useless, assmunching, gerbil molesting, work shy douchenozzles get their come-uppance in hell. It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.Comment

Re: Lazy Co-workers, is there any justice?
yes grass hopper there is justice....................
I worked with a tech 11 years ago who must have been the laziest to set foot next to a copier.
When he found out that I had 10 years of Toshiba training and experience he was thrilled, some one to "assist"
with the work load.
I would get a call from him every other morning to "take" one of his calls, because he was soooooo busy.
This was becoming to frequent for my liking, so I decided to take a closer look at when this was happening.
On one of the mornings that I knew he would call, I drove to the street that he lived on and parked a couple of
houses away from his. I made contact with our dispatch and asked what his workload was like, they said he only
had 1 call to do for the morning. Sure enough the call came in and he was just swamped with calls.
I obliged and took the call for him, then contacted the client and walked them through a quick reset to get them
going till I could get there. I contacted the service manager and informed him of what was happening, he
said to stay where I was and to contact him when the tech left home. I sat there for another 2 hours and waited
till he left home. I knew he had no calls at the time and wondered what he was up to, so I followed to see.
He went right to the client call that I had taken for him, and came out after 10 minutes. He contacted dispatch and cleared the call.
The next day the service manager showed up to our office and had a meeting with him.
And yes you guessed it, he got fired on the spot.
So yes there is justice for the lazy tech.$hit Happens - Deal with it and move on.....................................sigpic....................................Lock & LoadComment

Re: Lazy Co-workers, is there any justice?
I just do my job the best that I can and go home. A call is a call. I get paid for it no matter whose call it was originally. I've got enough stress in my life than to let the actions of a moron bother me. It doesn't mean I don't get mad sometimes. I just know that getting upset about it makes me sick and that means he/she wins. Always remember that before kicking butt of co-workers, bosses, or irrational clients. They are small, tiny people, igi. You are better than that, never forget it! You are a professional. Your calm in the center of the storm of stupidity will reveal just how stupid and childish they really are.Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".Comment

Re: Lazy Co-workers, is there any justice?
I don't mind working hard for a living, nor do I have a problem helping other techs, but stuff like lazy techs can affect my customers, and that I have a problem with.Last edited by Shadow1; 05-18-2012, 01:05 AM.73 DE W5SSJComment
