Is that the one that came with a fire extinguisher?

Re: oldest machine still in service ?

We have 1 Ricoh AF 550 and a few AF1060/1075.. They are all in daily use. Very few problems.

And last year I was on a FT6645 I think it was.. it is still in use today as far as I know. I remember the janitor/building superintendent (in Norway they do not clean.. they are usually a former electrician/carpenter/plummer or something like that, that have taken a course to be a "vaktmester" as we call them. It is directly translated to "guard master".. but they don't work as a guard either. They take care or a building. They check the technical installations in a building like the electical, ventilation and so on. They change light bulbs, do some painting and sometimes a more advanced stuff..) anyway, as I started to explain.. he was always very interested when I serviced the machine, asked questions and so on. I explained how the machine worked and gave him a service manual and a parts catalog. After 2 years he did 99% of all the work. He explained what was wrong, and we talked and sendt him the parts. Nice deal for us, as we saved a 3 hour drive, the work AND we still got paid for the service.
He has kept this machine in mint condition ever since. We also sent him 2 old machines that he could pick parts from. He has ordered parts online the last few years too. As far as I know he has no problems getting the parts he need. But come on.. this machine is OLD..
They also have a AF2060 that he service. He could be a tech any day.. those machines is probably the best maintained machines we have. He has a lot more time than we do.

But I guess the average age of the machines we have is no more then 3 years old.. 90% is color.

We still have a couple of them old 2060's out there too, funny thing, the newer machines, IE ES 550 and some others, dont seem to stand up as well, when I was at the other place, a few people still had a old analoge sharp or 2 or 3
