    Customers, Ya gotta love em

Nothing to do with Copiers but just had a call from a customer, apparently her Tablet PC is'nt charging properly. As she's only a few streets away I told her to bring it round for me to look at, so she Duly turns up with her tablet & "Charger". Plugged the Tablet into my PSU & it starts charging straight away, then I looked at the "Charger" only it's not her charger. The silly cow has been trying to use her tablet from a 200ma USB adaptor, no wonder it would'nt charge the battery & now it's fried inside. Asked her where the proper charger was & she says oh I don't use that, it's a lot heavier & this 1 does the same thing. After 20 minutes of trying to explain to her that a USB adaptor is not the same as her charger, I gave up & sent her on her way.

You can only repeat the same words so many times, so many ways, before it's time to give up. Did you resist the urge to cross your eyes?

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Hi guy's: Gotta be honest, by the time i'd finished I was cross everything not just crosseyed.
I like the idea of a slap button, I sure felt like slapping her. It just was'nt sinking in at all, she's so dumb i'm waiting for her to ring today & tell me it still does'nt charge.

OK: Now I give up with this stupid woman, had her husband ranting & swearing on the phone at Lunchtime today. He was totally disgusted with me because his wife had brought her Tablet to me & i'd supposedly repaired it, but it still does'nt charge. He wanted to know was this any way to treat a loyal customer, apparently she went home & carried on using the tablet on the battery until it ran down & then put it on charge overnight. This morning she tried to use it but it was dead (Surprise, surprise), afraid I told him that if he did'nt stop ranting & swearing at me I was going to go round & thump him. (I know I should'nt have, but there's only so much i'm going to take from anyone). Anyway he calmed down & started talking sensibly so I asked him what "Charger" she'd used & yes you guessed right, the Bimbo used the same dead adaptor. Got him to get her proper Charger, plug it in & try the Tablet. Lo & behold it started charging straight away and hubby was gobsmacked, then I had to explain to him what went on yesterday & that his wife could'nt be bothered to listen to me. Hubby is now full of and appologies & is going to have words with Bimbo wife (Love to be a Fly on the wall for that 1) so it turned out ok in the end & of course i'm still going to be the 1 that they come to for repairs (Hmm). Anyway get home this afternoon to find out he's dropped off an appology note & a Bottle of Bourbon for me.

I always believed having the most stupid customer. A female teacher (teacher what else) complained that copies where showing smudges and several fine dots. I went there with a toner recovery blade expecting it to be the cause of the problem. However, the test copies I made where very good, so I asked her to show me exactly what she did and to show me the original she made the copies from. Mumbling that she's not stupid and that she checked the original before and that it was spotless clean, the cow went to her office and came back with a transparency for an overhead projector...............

She was not able to comprehend that when you copy from a transparent original the ADF belt with its pattern and all smudges will come through on the copy.

Had one just like this the other day. The problem was blank copies from tray #1 and won't duplex. The enduser had selected tray #1 media type: blank insert. What do you suppose happens when you ask for a blank insert? =^..^=
