Please don't let this become an anti-Islam thread, when we choose to retaliate against a group of people because we disagree with their views, have we not dropped to a level below where we should be. This has nothing to do with true Muslims, I have family and friends who are Muslims, they are as disgusted as me at the attrocities that are being carried out in the name of their religion.

I am not anti-Islam, nor will I ever be. I am actually anti-religion (not anti-religious people, I was brought up Catholic, my parents are still very active in their church)
Christianity, just a couple of months ago, cost a young girl her life in Ireland, she was pregnant and in the process of miscarrying her baby, the hospital refused to carry out a termination of a pregnancy, that would not have lasted to term anyway, as a result, the poor girl died. This is because of Christian teachings.

The horrifying thing about the incident 2 days, was the truly barbaric nature of the attack. A soldier, minding his own business, walking down the street, is first of all rammed by a car that drove onto the pavement to run him over, then the 2 attackers jumped out of the car and with a huge amount of weapons in hands, hacked him to death. According to reports, he was beheaded (or attempted to be beheaded) in front of passers by, in the middle of the afternoon, in a busy London Street. They then insisted on by videoed while trying to justify their actions, still waving knives and machetes, with hands that were bright red with the victims blood.

Please don't lower ourselves to the level of the scum who carried out this attack by mindless retaliation.

That's a fine picture of the old timey Democrat Party's religious outreach program (don't take my word for it, look it up yourself).
So please don't bring politics into this as well. It isn't helpful.

The fact is the wherever Muslims exist in the world there is trouble. By it's very nature Islam is an aggressive, intolerant and dominating religion.

The Jewish population in Israel could be reduced to three square blocks and I guarantee their peaceful Muslim neighbors would still execute every last one of them.

Yes, let's compare death toll, does anyone know how many non-Christians were killed during the Crusades? If we look at history, the most barbaric religion has been Christianity.

Oh, and I'm incredibly offended by your comment that it "makes me feel less bigoted", that implies that I am bigoted but trying to hide it, let me assure you, and everyone else reading this, that I am not bigoted in any way, I have no prejudices against anyone based on their beliefs or lifestyles, unless they cause harm to others with those beliefs (like the poor girl who lost her life in Ireland this year due to the Christian beliefs of that country).

Any idea how many members on this site are peace loving Muslims (I'm sure there are some, and I'm equally as certain that they feel the same way as I do about the attrocities being carried out in the name of their religion), how are they feeling reading what you have to say.

Would be good when those peace loving Muslims for once would speak out loud and condemn atrocities "being carried out in the name of their religion" by their radical brothers.

I didn't hear them after 9/11, nor Madrid, nor London, nor Boston etc. I lived a considerable part of my life in the Middle East and I have met there very good and pious people which became dear friends to me until now. So I allow myself to say that I am not biased.

At the same time the atrocities carried out by Muslims against Muslims these days tell their own tale......... Hence once again the question who or what is radicalising those psychopats?

If you put a label on someone and judge and profile using hate, and not data, you will get your ass blown up. When you look up number of terrorist attacks on the US by nonmuslims, the figure is over 90%.

Sometimes your biggest threat looks like you. When I started working for Special Forces, I found out that 7th Group was on the watch for Latino people, because their area of operation is mainly South and Central America. A large percentage of soldiers in this group are Latino. I found out that you don't set your brief case looking tool box down and walk away from it, they will get real excited.

When it comes to security threats against the military in the US, the most damage has been done by US citizens with Top Secret security clearances. They have a poster showing the 12 worst offenders and it was pointed out to me that only one did it for political reasons, he was Jewish, the rest sold us out for money. I was ask a couple of years ago if I could "damage" all the ports to connect an HDD to my copiers, because they were worried that one of their people would install one, collect data, and remove it.

I am just speaking of my country. I don't live in Europe and am not familiar with what is going on. Be warned, one of the first things used to control large groups of people for political means is to find an enemy that is easy to see and identify. That will bring everybody together. You must look at a persons personal beliefs.

Hello Debs. People get a little to worked up on the net sometimes. Don't let anyone get to you. I know what you mean and you have a good heart. Question tho. For you and everyone else. Isn't it about time we stop letting people from the middle east emigrate here or to your country. ? Why don't they stay where they are born ? They come to the U.S. for a better life? Or let's just say I get a little impatient with the amount of Muslims who "misinterpret" their own religion.

But at my next Knights of Columbus meeting I will be extra careful to scrutinize the crowd for any extremist content, just to be fair.

It all seem like 'modern version' of the centuries old 'ping-pong' game between the Crusaders and the Jihadists. Evil minded people who have allowed Satan to call the shots in their lives. The good news is that 'their days are numbered, as they will be wiped off the surface of the earth for, the 'wages of sin is death'.
