Ricoh used to have a table with the circumferences of the various rollers.

    Random thought:

I am a gentleman, with the vocabulary of a sailor.
And I get paid to restrain myself and fix things.

A lady told me yesterday after removing, disassembling, thoroughly cleaning, reassembling and reinstalling the registration unit on a Bizhub 223 (and the damned thing ran when I was done with it!) that I, quote, "have the magic touch."

My reply was a pause, a look aside, and a strained single word sentence of "Professionalism..." just to make her laugh.
If I can't be entertaining then why am I even here?

Here in OZ instead of Reindeer on our xmas cards we have pictures of kangroos pulling a big red jolly coca cola man Santa Claus and his magically sled through the air. The reindeer novelty is still around but is wearing thinner for each generation of children.

The children sing xmas carols with verses like "6 white boomers snow white boomers" , a boomer is a kangaroo.

No snow here in the Tropics....

I can remember looking towards the sky where the nieghbours trees once where with sincere thankfulness and true appreciation while I meantioned something to the affect of "thank christ cows don't fly"....
I've always wondered why there are trees in town. I mean, while they do look nice, roots of trees wreck sewers and sidewalks, trees fall over and crush stuff, and sometimes trees catch fire and incinerate nearby things.
Also, my neighbors have pretty large oak and maple trees that always cover my front yard with leaves. While normally I just let the leaves mulch into the yard, it was bad enough this year that I had to run the push mower over the entire front yard four times just to grind the leaves up enough to be unseeable. Lucky thing my front yard is pretty small.
I used to have actual mulching blades for the eighty dollar riding mower, but I destroyed them when I hit the municipal water shut off while trimming the grass between the sidewalk and the street a few years ago. D'oh.

People who pay vast amounts of money to go and "play" in it should be made to see a psychologist.
Still haven't worked out why we have snow on Christmas cards in Oz. We do have the revolting stuff here but only in a small area and 6 months away from Christmas.

I have 3 vacations planned for next year, all of them involve snow. Mouna Kea for early snow, Tahoe for the best snow and Swiss alps for late season snow. I guess I should see a psychologist?
